Title: gatorade
Post by: jtksu on June 14, 2010, 12:21:03 AM
So, what's up with the product lines?  Now there's stuff to drink before, during, and after being awesome?  Anybody tried the stuff that looks like a capri sun yet?  Anybody try the other new stuff?  Why do all the non lemon lime or fruit punch flavors sucks so bad?  I have so many questions...

I've only tried one flavor.  Renew, maybe?  Purple label.  Anyway, did not care for it.

HFCS chemically is virtually idenctical to Granulated Sugar. It's when you take in large amounts of HFCS (i.e. drinking shazbot! tons of soda and what not) that it becomes a problem. Which is also the case with granulated sugar, so....

The problem I have with gatorade is that people have been tricked into thinking it is a better for you substitute for soda. Wrong. Gatorade whould only be drank after/during workouts/playing sports or if you are doing intense labor(construction) outside in the heat.

If you want a drink like this for anyday drinking, definitely got with something like Vitamin Water 10, G2, or Sobe LifeWater Zero.

Yeah, HFCS is nearly identical to sucrose chemically, they're both saccharides.  Humans and chimps are almost identical genetically as well.  HFCS is though to be metabloized differently though and is  widely thought to be a leading culprit in Amerca's obesity problem.
