Was doing some research and from what I understand these teams haven’t played since 2012. Is it like a rivalry or something? I’m applying to colleges this spring so I’d be curious to learn about this sorta stuff

That’s TCU

While almost nothing points to that being clear, I do agree it’s us and TCU (and maybe OSU although they’ve show flashes)… so nothing about saying we might be the worst is wrong.

Also, watching quality basketball is so god damn fun.

Marquette just beat Villanova at their on campus court. Villanova had a 29 game winning streak there.

Villanova's on campus arena, Finneran Pavilion, needs to be in the arena thread, it looks interesting on TV.

It means Mike Miles Is a bad MF who should win conference poy, but he won't.

Dixon at TCU hasn't out performed oscar here. I'd love to hear the argument that makes him a better coach.

I was making a very general statement about observing teams. If you watch a team (in any sport) and come away with the opinion that this team has a better record than you would expect from watching the players, I think that is indicative of coaching.

I know almost nothing about TCU as a team. I have only seen them when they have played K-State and that was mostly in the game we choked away. What about Mike Miles makes him more deserving of Conference POY over Pack? I'm looking at a guy that shoots 38.4% from the field and 29.5% from 3. I'm not coming away impressed.

I haven't watched much but coming into the season, I thought they had one of their better rosters in a few years.  I am very jealous of the good looks that Braun and Agbaji get as opposed to Pack.  Some of that is coaching and I'm sure some is the talent around them requiring defenses to stay honest.

I ridiculed you and as much as I like Mike Woodson, they needed today's win to even be considered for the tournament, their new was 43. Look at the teams around them

Oklahoma
North Texas
Xavier
Indiana
Marquette
TCU
Wyoming
Wake Forest

Let's maybe get them out of the first four and at least consistently a top 5 team in their conference before you start printing the national championship shirts

It's the first year of a new regime and back in the dance and defeated Purdue for the first time in years. A program like Indiana is going to do what it takes to get back on top.

I like his old school style. Also cool that both he and his dad were accomplished boxers. He’s also got a hockey background. Unique and interesting guy.

I don’t remember if it was on gE or kso, but someone was saying that he looked like a dork and they couldn’t play for a coach who looks like he does. 65-yo Adams would whip that dudes ass in a minute. He’s tough as crap and his teams play that way.

Imo he looks more like a boxing trainer than a bball coach.

I hope they win tonight but I agree with you that what he did this year doesn't seem sustainable. They hit on a bunch of portal guys who were unheralded. The portal can give you a quick shot in the arm but for sustained success you still need great high school classes.
