Yikes
-
Remember when we thought the defense was amazing.
-
Having no LBs is proving to be a problem....
-
Harley day, too!
-
Having no LBs is proving to be a problem....
especially with the 3 down lineman set . . .
-
He wouldn't have been down in touch football until like the 5 yard line. Looks like I'll have some time to night to work on my weekend projects.
-
Going to be a long night
-
Damn, rough start. and I was optimistic
-
It would be nice to not get blown out and shut out again. If the defense gives up a score here I think we can call it a night.
-
Losing farmageddon in consecutive years hasn’t happened in my lifetime
-
Ok ok ok
-
eff
-
Sigh
-
Nice, Sky
-
Call it, don't care
-
that was a bad pass, nowhere but up from here!
-
I really want us to stop them here, but I don't really think we can.
-
Make me a fool.
-
We did it!
-
Ten points is a lot, but it's not unsurmountable yet.
-
WE GOT A FIRST DOWN!!!
-
Skylar out there looking like Will Howard
-
Oh well
-
Ok ok ok
-
I love how hard Ervin hits the hole, it’s so violent.
-
That was beautiful
-
Skylar out there looking like Will Howard
-
Hooray!!!
-
Call it, don't care
Point retracted
-
We're back baby!!
-
Very nice throw by Sky.
-
:ksu:
-
Let's go get that lead!
-
I can't believe they didn't go for it on 4th there
-
Get angry crowd

Just once I wish we'd get a bullshit call that goes our way
-
I would’ve been happy had they just called holding on the ISU db a few plays back. I’m easy to please.
-
Jesus Christ
-
Of course
-
but great coverage by Yeast
-
We probably should have went for it
-
Good job there yeast
-
We probably should have went for it
Agreed
-
Well we had our chance to grab the lead, not sure how many more we'll get
-
Nah that was a 33 yard fg on line 4th and 5. No issue with kicking that
-
Nope, but jfc defense, too many great situations they are letting go
-
C'mon D
-
Welp, back to where we were, great
-
Goodness, our LBs get worse every game
-
The arm tackling is amazing with this group
-
The arm tackling is amazing with this group
Weirdly they'll figure it out in the second half, probably too late to matter
-
Meh! We can come back!
-
Score here, get the ball to start the second half
-
We are legit closing in on a full calendar year without winning a conference game
-
We are legit closing in on a full calendar year without winning a conference game
potential 8 game conference losing streak :frown:

Our offense is what is going to doom us tonight. And not due to this vaunted isu defense
-
Wtf

Call it, don't care

Point reinstated
-
Skylar out there looking like Will Howard
He's doing it again. :frown:
-
Are we going to go into the half down 13 or 17?
-
Will Howard is on the sideline wondering how the hell Sky got that fumble back.
-
Once again......we prove to have the worst play calling when it comes to the end of the half
-
What's scary is that this is possibly the ceiling for a Kleiman team. Will he ever get more talent and experience on the field at the same time again?
-
Who in here is arguing Sky is a good QB? Wacky? He’s getting going pro right?
-
Purdy for Heisman
-
Will he ever get more talent and experience on the field at the same time again?
yes probably
-
Will he ever get more talent and experience on the field at the same time again?
yes probably
When? Five years from now?
-

When? Five years from now?
No sooner than that
-
Hate when we have these games where it’s 3rd and doesn’t matter bc our D is so pillowy soft
-
Geez
-
Ugh
-
More points than last time tho
-
Rough half, but still in it . . . :emawkid:
-
Not really
-
If we go three and out to start the second half, I am going to cry
-
All hail Kleiman and Sky!
-
If we go three and out to start the second half, I am going to cry
4 and out
-
Haha, this offense tonight
-
If we go three and out to start the second half, I am going to cry
We didn't, but we basically did
-
JFC
-
Feels bad man
-
so many mistakes
-
is it weird that Iowa State has players' home state flags on the back of their helmets . :dunno:
-
This isn't fun.
-
Do or die drive. They score here and we're basically toast.
-
We're going to be better than last year, and still have the same record
-
stop them and we’re toast too
-
We are getting killed.
-
just a joke
-
have we had a successful blitz? all year long?
-
game
-
have we had a successful blitz? all year long?
oh what happened on that td. jeez
-
Yep
-
Purdy is 19 of 22.
We are getting dominated by Iowa State.
I don't think I've ever had less fun watching a Cats' football game. :frown:
-
Chris Kliemen is going to have to start justifying why he has a job at K-State
-
Chris Kliemen is going to have to start justifying why he has a job at K-State
lol no he’s not
-
I like how Ervin is running
-
I worry he's going to get his leg torn off every time he gets takled. He gets hit in oddly violent way.
-

I think it's because he's hitting holes harder than he probably should

Do you find our performance acceptable?
-
Good teams don’t lose games like this, in this manner.

You're right... With Gene as a boss, he won't have to do crap

My opinion has no bearing on his job status
-
Good drive, we're much better when Skylar doesn't have to throw
-
wtf,
-
Heh
-
Good thing that drive only took 6 minutes. For a second I thought we were down three scores with a quarter to play.

Have you seen Skylar throw? Also the defense needed a break after that last disaster drive
-
Lol. I can't tell if you are serious or not
-

Defense won’t do crap anyway
-
Put that rest to use
-
Costly missed xp
-
Costly missed xp
Add missed FG and ineligible man down field.
-
Costly missed xp
Yeah, Winkel's missed 4 relatively easy points
so many unforced errors this game
-
This sucks
-
Costly missed xp
Who am I kidding, it doesn't matter
-

There’s your tempo, half the gd online fell down
-
I guess we must not practice a 'hurry-up' offense :dunno:
-
Coaches need to tell the sixth year senior to pay attention to the play clock
-
Calling a draw on third and ten from the 15 shows the confidence they have in Skylar
-
BUT?!!!!???
-
how was that not a pick lol
-
Huh
-
Section 23 getting chippy.

Yup, I mean, if it was 30-24 right now, you could feel the collapse happen, but not 30-20
-
Will Howard beat tech and TCU, can Skylar?
-
We are the best at almost getting onside kicks
-
Yup, I mean, if it was 30-24 right now, you could feel the collapse happen, but not 30-20
one of those deals where if you had a coach that was good at special teams things could really get turned around.
-
Great blitz on third down again

yeah, not sure if defense could get the stop but wouldn't have tried the onsite kick . . .
-
Apt way to end it

This above all is my concern. I'm certain the talent on defense will get better, but I'm just as concerned that Skylar Thompson will be Klieman's best quarterback at K-State. His system is nearly impossible to recruit talented skill position players to.

I love it.

Lucky you seemingly missed 45-0

You're not aware that's the offense. He was regularly pissed in the fourth quarter at the time it took us to sub and send in plays.
-
Rusty was weirdly down on Skylar, we definitely saw this game differently.

Yeah his stats weren't as bad as I expected (minus the interception and fumbles). Like he had more YPA than Purdy.
But also, the coaches didn't trust him to throw when we needed to score quickly. I realize it's not "the offense" to sling the ball around and the receivers are part of the problem but still.

I think they did trust him, they were just taking what the defense gave. He dropped back to throw 28 times, we ran with the RBs 26, and we ran the option twice and he pitched neither time. This is coming off a game in which he dropped back 42 times and that game had a whole lot of possessions. It's safe to say that not only do they trust him to throw but since his injury he's going to do it a lot more than he did before.
-
The drive when we were down 20 at the end of the third/start of the fourth, he attempted one pass in 11 plays on a 5+minute drive. I guess that's what they're giving us, but man.
The next drive they ran on five of eleven plays, including a draw on 3rd and 10 from the 11. A little more urgency, but they aren't asking Sky to lead the team down the field with his arm

Rusty. That drive looked like this.
12 yard run
14 yard pass, he was hit late
13 yard run
10 yard scramble, he dropped back to pass
9 yard run
8 yard run to end the quarter
8 yard run
1 yard run
1 yard run
3 yard run
2 yard run
Those last 4 runs were from the 6 yard line in. The narrative you're pushing that they didn't trust him to throw is comical. The next drive they attempted 7 throws and that was after the first play was an 11 yard run.
-
I know what the drives were like. I'd forgotten that our timeout on the next drive was after an incomplete pass
