Title: Favorite pens and/or writing instruments
Post by: Sandstone Outcropping on April 27, 2021, 02:37:26 PM
What is your favorite pen? Right now, I'm really enjoying the Pentel EnerGel 0.7mm. Makes a nice thick line and looks wet when it goes on the page but isn't smudgy under most circumstances. Pilot G2 in 1.0mm is nice, also.

I have about 400 of these. I use them exclusively. Steal the pen on every single stay.

I’ve been using an erasable pen (pilot frixion) with this bad boy. It’s perfect if you’re a fan of just scribbling down random notes that 9/10 times you never look at again (although it’s also really easy to scan and store stuff you do wanna keep).

I’m gonna order one of each. The 0.34mm may be a bit narrow but I will give it a try.

I got a fountain pen because of some kind of hipster hormone surge, but it is really a pain in the ass

I got a box of pilot varsity fountain pens. I don’t like them for everyday writing but I do like to use them to put my signature on something like if I’m signing and sealing a set of drawings. And since they’re disposable I don’t feel like so much of a pompous d-bag

I opened up a package of these yesterday after mail call. The line is insanely thin yet it doesn't cut the paper like many other very fine points. May end up being too thin of a line.

The Sharpie Gel is awesome - I think it is a different pen than what passranch posted above

The Dr Grip has a great grip.

The Dr Grip has a great grip.

And it comes recommended by 4 out of 5 doctors.

Just got my hands on one of these beauties. Makes a beautiful 1mm swath of purple on the page. Very enjoyable to use.

two years later, I'm convinced that Sharpie Gel is best in the biz. Bold lines with no smudging and a very comfortable grip.

I have several Cross pen and pencils from 80s high school graduation.

A purple Aldo Domani set from a former player the last year I coached.

A great pen is so underrated, get what you pay for in the pen space imo. I have some company logo Cross pens that are elite.

I lose pens like crazy. I buy a 60 pack of bics a few times a year. My 10 year old daughter is the same. We bought her 60 pre-sharped pencils at the beginning of the school year & she ran out by Thanksgiving.
