I recently learned "Linus and Lucy", which is always a crowd pleaser at Christmastime. It's way harder than I thought since the left hand/right hand independence is a pain. I'm too lazy to learn the jazzy breakdown part note for note so that just gets freestyled and sounds halfway decent.

is this poll a joke?

Worked out great for Em, she ended up with Jim.

and you know a really underrated christmas album? Merle Haggard's "Goin' Home for Christmas"
very popular but incredibly solid is Phil Spector's christmas album with Darlene Love and the Ronettes and stuff
Good change of pace is Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass Band
One year I bought a bunch of old Christmas vinyl and it's the only time my family uses the living room turntable.
-
Kuntry and Wistern by Koe Wetzel is also very underrated Xmas song.
-
christmas cocktail jazz is the best christmas playlist on spotify.

Yeah I’m nails on the main theme, but that jazzy part I just skip over. Someday I’ll put some effort into it.

we got crazy and went to a trans siberian orchestra concert last year and I would never go again but it was certainly something to witness and I don't regret going.

I never get tired of this one.
Judy Garland's interpretation of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" is my favorite melancholy Christmas song.
This is fun, too:

Remember when Greg made a Spotify playlist for us? I listened to that earlier today. It's not bad but it could use some additions to really make it slap.
-
I lean towards the newer songs myself. My fav this season is Kelly Clarkson’s All I Want for Christmas is You (if you’re only a casual Xmas music fan you might be surprised by what it’s a cover of).
There are also two completely different songs that came out the past couple years called Christmas Valentine and I am a big fan of both.

I posted in the TV thread, but if you like Christmas music you should check out the Kacey Musgraves special on Amazon
