Post your solutions in this thread and as the boards #1 Trumplican I will agree to the proposal on behalf of 45 or give you our reasoning for why we find it objectionable. Lets do this!
-
Reparations
-
How Much?
-
How Much?
I don't know. There's always bills proposed to study how much it should be but they never pass
-
Well we are interested in finding solutions and welcome all ideas so if you can provide more details for the plan we would love to take a look at them.
-
I'm very excited to get this all in our rear view mirror and live in love , harmony, and mutual respect. Lets make some change!

I told you that Congress won't even approve a bill to come up with a plan. The powers that be in the US don't want to fix "racial strife"

This is gE son, we are fixing this, ain't nobody got time for congress. We renamed the Chiefs in 1 week for Christs sake.
-
I think technically we just re-branded the Chiefs.
-
All major news outlets need to be destroyed. Let PBS newshour reign supreme.
No more Fox and CNN.

The biggest step is just racist people stop being racist and passing it on to their kids. The 27 brood is almost certainly racist like their father. Hopefully 27 will commit to changing this, but I doubt it.

That doesn't just happen though. This thread is about solutions to make it happen.
-
Obama needs to stop doing divisive stuff like pointing out trayvon looks like his kids!
-
The biggest step is just racist people stop being racist and passing it on to their kids.
nah it's a systematic problem

nah it's a systematic problem
How do you fix a systemic issue if people won't even acknowledge it's a problem?
-
A good first step is not declaring every disagreement or different point view as racist.
But it's too late for that now, it's systemic.

that's not the same thing as "stop being racist". Plenty of "non-racists" don't acknowledge (or realize) that systematic racism exists. I doubt even 27 thinks he's racist.
I think education (something like the 1619 curriculum) is a good start. Also more political leaders supporting systematic change will help.
-
Yeah, that's a good start. Politicians will care when constituents care.
Acknowledge and care is probably better wording for what I meant.
-
Only minorities and women can be police officers.

we're far less racist in this country now than we have ever been imo

Mostly true but Trump has definitely emboldened and legitimized racists. (And is a big time racist). But in so many other ways things are much much better
-
I don't think a government program to fix all of our racial problems is going to work irl, but I think just adopting like finland's welfare state, childcare benefits, and provide lots more affordable housing and that would solve a bunch of problems with poverty and then we could actually address problems independent of that. I don't think UBI is a panacea but I think it is both better than nothing and better than a job guarantee and I think that it is fine as long as it isn't just a stalking horse for eliminating the meager UI/welfare benefits we do now (which it currently is) and it is in addition to the rest.
I am not a big MMT believer, but I do think the inflation scolds have a lot to answer for on why we haven't seen inflation for the last 13 years.
-
I read an article about a community that passed a reparations bill and it amounted to spending millions on community and housing improvements in black communities.
No idea how it turned out

Another good start would be not electing a 50 year stealth racist to the presidency.
A person who has almost single handedly help break up thousands of minority families by pushing BS draconian sentencing legislation, not to mention his "racial jungle" rhetoric.
-
I’ve known Vice President Biden for more than 40 years. I met him as a wide-eyed law student, and he’s been my friend and champion ever since. The Joe I know is exactly the leader our country needs right now. He can bring people together to find common ground while standing up for what he believes is right. After years of bitter partisanship, he can unite our country and get things done for working families—and everyone looking for a better future. Because it’s not about what side of the aisle we’re on. It’s about whether or not we’re on the side of the people.
:Wha:

Trump said that??

Good idea, I think if we're lucky we'll get rid of him Nov 3rd.

chingon, i kinda wish you wouldn't work so hard at getting dax to vote for tuberville.

A little more than 1 day in and 7 has the best partial solution so far and he thought he was making a joke, lets step it up over the weekend and get this done, I'm boycotting the golf course until we make meaningful change.
-
I don't care about strife. I do care about injustice.
-
Fantastic, we care about both. Lets get our momentum back and solve this.
-
Impossible. White people aren't happy unless they can discriminate against black people. And black people aren't happy when they're victims of discrimination.
-
Well as they say, If we can't be part of the solution, WE ARE the problem.
-
I ended my golf boycott yesterday because nobody cared that I wasn't playing golf and I was only hurting myself.
-
I ended my golf boycott yesterday because nobody cared that I wasn't playing golf and I was only hurting myself.
Why were you boycotting golf?
-
To call attention to the urgent need for change, but it's been a rough year for these kind of boycotts, this one lasted less time than the NBA's
-
Another excellent first step would be to stop calling POC sell outs or Uncle Toms because they don’t automatically associate themselves with a specific political dogma.
But again, that’s systemic and likely never going to stop. We’ve even got white pinnacle of first world problems people saying this now. Which is disgraceful.
-
Maybe you should focus on KC first. JFC.

That's very sad :frown:
-
very sad if true, I'm shocked by the volume of ugliness in a short window, seems incredible.

Backing up my earlier brilliance in this thread, albeit I wouldn't classify many of those that practice this very low IQ trait as elite:
