These new suits are hot AF!
-
Google Fiber has NASA TV on Ch 321
-
I have it streaming on my personal laptop. Yeah those new suits are way less bulky than they used to be.
-
between the new suits and the dudes in black, i feel like i'm watching a extended length daft punk video
-
Those new touchscreen control panels in the dragon are hot AF too! The people that flew the space shuttle are laughing about having actual touch screens instead of a billion physical buttons and knobs.
-
i was more impressed with the little shelf in front of the touch screen that the astronauts can rest their wrists in
-
Carpal tunnel is no laughing matter
-
I want a copy of those two prints that are going up to the ISS today omg
-
Damn, guess we are going to try this again on Saturday.
-
I was planning a nice break in my schedule today to enjoy this, and now I have nothing to look forward to :buh-bye:

I’m gonna crack a shandy. I’m getting jittery and starting to get the feels like they are talking about on the broadcast. One of my earliest memories of reading any books are of this big book about the Voyager missions with amazing pictures.

Today Bob and Doug successfully returned home successfully from the ISS after being there for the past 2 months. Everything went perfectly and they made splash down in the Gulf of Mexico this afternoon. The commercial space age has officially begun. The first private company to successfully carry humans to space and return safely.
Chills.

Anybody care about Mars?
https://twitter.com/nasa/status/1362480792883052545
-
Yeah this is pretty awesome. Watched the landing live. Who doesn't love Mars? It makes me happy when humans can stop being idiots long enough to actually guide a probe through space and successfully land it on another planet.
-
Mars isn't in my top 10 of favorite planets.

NASA minions and workers: *grumbling* Yeah, sure boss. Whatever you say ...

Always a good watch

Couldn't think of where this should go. If you are familiar with Tom Sachs and his Space Program (or AvE) it is interesting.

the weather forecast for today is only like 60% positive for a launch versus 85% yesterday
there’s apparently a lot more crappy weather down here in america’s mullet than I thought

SIAP. One of these beasts rolled thru Smallville a few weeks ago.

ULA needed this win. Will help keep SpaceX and Blue Origin on their toes.
-
I feel like an expert on all of this rocket ship stuff after riding between el pollo rey and overland park with pete last Friday.
-
My kid is super into it and wants to get an engineering degree and work on rocket propulsion systems, so I just immersed myself in it as well. Makes for better conversation with him. It’s pretty cool stuff tho! The number of new companies building rockets and rocket components is surprisingly high. Lots of billionaires playing around in this area now.
