Title: Should the Big 12 do the right thing and cancel the tournament?
Post by: Dugout DickStone on March 10, 2020, 01:40:09 PM
I think the answer is yes.  For the following reasons:

1.  Other confys are doing it including the very elite/rich/smart ones.
2.  It is just basketball and no one cares
3.  The corona virus seems to be most prevalent in areas where there is poor hand washing and hygiene so Iowa State fans could kill us all
4.  With KSU Cats taking a break from this hobby, would anyone even watch?
5.  With the well heeled Cats fans sitting this tourney out, will downtown businesses go bankrupt with all the hand soap used?
6.  Kellys is about to become ground zero for disgusting coughing/sneezing
7.  Karla and Karl are way too scared to make the drive in from south olathe
8.  What if Korn got the corona?  :ohno:

They should probably proclaim the team least likely to get into the NCAAs the champion to ensure the B12 gets as many bids as possible

That is brilliant and just the kind of outside the box thinking needed to stop this pandemic in its moldy tracks

there are literally tens of thousands of tickets available, no one is going anyway, no one will notice this thing is canceled.

Can I sue the NCAA if I go to the tourney and get that nasty disease from some KU fan?   (ftp://:confused:)

I mean it's in Lawrence and will spread like the plague with all those homeless and unfit elder's they have there.    (ftp://:cry:)
