Title: Does waiting hurt our recruiting?
Post by: southpaw on December 06, 2018, 02:13:49 PM
Since we haven't gotten an announcement that we have a new coach, I think it's safe to conclude that someone's first choice for our next head coach is in the middle of the bowl season.  Coaches have been hired away from teams that are preparing for their bowl games but usually those are assistant coaches.

I fear that if we are waiting for our #1 choice to play their bowl game, we are killing valuable recruiting time.

Thoughts?

I think the difference between having LHC Bill Snyder or no coach in recruiting is negligible

Know what would hurt our recruiting; hiring the wrong rough ridin' coach!

This class won’t be very good regardless. WAY too late in the game, so nope.

I doubt we'll have a winning season for another fours years.  Hopefully, with the right coach we'll improve ever year with better recruiting.
