OMG, we spent like a billion dollars yesterday to buy all of this crap food and nobody ate anything because everyone is health conscious and in this losing weight competition. Should I give this food away to the homeless? We spent like 3 hours shopping yesterday and I think I ate 1 piece of shrimp. I did get a really good year'd svedka bottle however. Anyone else host?

went to a friend's house with some microwaved meat balls covered in bbq sauce.
^do that next time. don't host, sounds awful.

had a few people over but it was potlucked.

Yeah, it kinda just happened. It was one of those weekends where the Mrs and I said we weren't going to do anything and hide in our basement only to spend a bajillion dollars on booze and to over pay for crap food. Oh well. It was a hell of a game.

I'm not friendly with the type of people that would watch the superbowl

Had fun at another friends house. I don't like hosting I just can't enjoy it as much

Went over to a buddy and his wife’s house and made this cheesy buffalo chicken ring. They made a few things but it wasn’t a big party.

That looks amazing. We made a artichoke bread bowl, buffalo chicken dip, shrimp, veggie tray, sliders, turkey sausage crock pot thingy, and some other stuff I can't remember because Svedka was touching the lips just right.

We hosted a small crowd. Pretty basic stuff (but all good versions): Veggies, pizza, spinach dip, other dips. Hosting is great as long as your friends aren’t slobs and you are able to wait the next day to clean up.
Offhand guess it cost us about $50. But we did all the prep ourselves. Not counting beer because I always try to keep a fridge full of it anyway.

I love hosting crap like this. lots of fun coming up with things to make and then making them and then not having to go somewhere and then drive home when it's all over. make people bring their own booze though. I'm not a liquor store and have no idea what specific drink you want on any given night. food? TVs? fun? I got those.

Yep. Invite 10-12, end up with 6-10 and you’re good IMO. I’ve been to bigger parties and it is impossible to all sit around the TV much less hear it with all the side convos.
