It would take a miracle to beat Oklahoma at KSU. I think this sooner version is better than its final 4 team. I wish I could go see T Young in person. Man o man he is great. And makes other people who play with him better.
-
Oklahoma has scored 90 points or better in I think 12 games this year.
-
From SB Nation OU:
"It’s time for you to watch Trae Young if you haven’t been doing so. With each game this 19-year-old phenom plays he gains experience, refines his skill and dazzles his audience. At this point, Young has not only made the Oklahoma Sooners relevant in college basketball discussions, he has transformed the Oklahoma men’s basketball team into a legitimate force to be reckoned with. If you like seeing things you’ve never seen before, but you’re not watching Trae Young on the court at every opportunity, you’re absolutely missing out."
I should have picked this game for my 5 pack at the start of the season. Bad dog Reno. If you got a ticket go and enjoy a real phenom. At least old purple Lon is providing a shirt tail connection to Young. Sounds like Young.is a great kid too. This is what college basketball is about. Rootin secretly for them.
-
It will not take a miracle.
I'm looking forward to watching Young in person.
-
oscar always gets a signature win and this has all the trappings
-
I'm concernes we'll have a letdown game (ala oscar... and Frank)
Although, a win would help KU, so I could see us pulling it off
-

Think we've got a better shot vs TCU on Saturday but who the hell knows. Our next four conference home games are vs (4) Oklahoma, (24) TCU, (10) Kansas and (8) Texas Tech. Very real possibility that oscar starts 1-5 in Big 12 play at Bramlage :blindfold:

If he does, he should be done. I think he splits those 4.
-
2-2 or better in our next 4 and we lose to KU. 1-3 or worse and we beat them. The oscar does what it takes to keep it's job but nothing more. He is basketball purgatory.

Sooners:

Cats:

Young is crazy good. 45% possession usage in Big 12 play. Made or assisted on 68% of OU's FG makes. He does turn it over a lot.
OU plays really fast, but that doesn't seem to bother us. We're probably better playing fast.
Stopping the other guys, especially Manek, James, McGusty probably is the key.
Cats by 5.
Also, if anyone has 2 tickets laying around, I'll take them.

Like, as he walks off the court or after talking to Wyatt and Stan?
-
i had one of those realistic dreams last night that it happened. the sense of relief I felt was pretty great
-
I took my daughter to the OU game 2 years ago where our mighty Wild Wildcats knocked them off followed by an awesome and totally not weird at all non court-storming. We are going tonight in an attempt to recreate history!

Thanks. I am whistling Wabash. Con Luger has only won once at Manhattan since coaching OU. We did beat the #1 Sooners, and these knotheads are #4. Wouldn't it be Wild if Diarra scores more than Young. Can he drive on OU.

yep this is looking like a prototypical oscar job-saver
having seen it every year makes it tough to enjoy since we all know it means nothing

i don't think i've seen a dude make 8 turnovers in a half before. i did like it, in a way.
-
i don't get that guy's sign, "this might as well be a trae young jersey"
-
There have been some HORRENDOUS turnovers on both sides
-
i don't get that guy's sign, "this might as well be a trae young jersey"
Wasn't he wearing a Steph Curry jersey?
-
young this game is like the rich kid who bought his way on to the aau team and his dad is the coach
-
i don't get that guy's sign, "this might as well be a trae young jersey"
Wasn't he wearing a Steph Curry jersey?
yes. ok i just got it. it's not that funny?
-
dafuq is that not some kind of foul on young slapping sneed in the face?
-

yes. ok i just got it. it's not that funny?
I agree, not funny
-
I had no idea trae young's go-to hairstyle was a sparse patch of old man pubes taped to the top of his head
-
crap, i just realized who he sorta looks like...the orange dude in Sin City?

now the dude in the student section fake eating cereal/soup...that's what i call humor
-
well we’re going to lose to ku twice this week, neat
-
Feels good having called this from the beginning
-
If that's what having a five star is all about, no thank you.
-
Can we talk more about how oscar calls poorly timed timeouts. We get all this momentum and Wade hits another jumper....timeout. like wtf, oscar.
-
This Diarra guy has a little denclem in him
-
And just how many top five teams have you beaten?
-
where the hell did wade go?
-
Good point, but I've watch oscar enough to know this tactic doesn't usually work out well.
-
by the way as rough as barry and everyone else was on D vs ASU, he's been excellent today...also some credit to mawein (and wade and stockard) for moving their feet on P&Rs
-
“OVERRATED” really is the dumbest chant in sports.
-
Court rush?
-
eff your agendas, tonight was a program builder
-
Does oscar have the most wins over top five teams in KSU history? I think he might...
-
Lifetime contract. Write it up Gene
-
This puts us in the tournament for now I would have to believe.
-
As long as we’re at .500 in Big 12 play we’re in, so yea.
-
It’s crazy how much better this team is playing Cartier instead of Kam
-
we’ll have to fight to lose another day
-
I took my daughter to the OU game 2 years ago where our mighty Wild Wildcats knocked them off followed by an awesome and totally not weird at all non court-storming. We are going tonight in an attempt to recreate history!
My man! Give your daughter a big hug and kiss for me!! (no weirdo)
.
Edit: In this day and age, maybe good to clarify that Brock and I went to a few BBall games in college and neither he nor I was ever a good luck charm for sure. Maybe his offspring is our saving grace...
-
It’s crazy how much better this team is playing Cartier instead of Kam
stokes has been an anchor around this program's neck since the day he stepped on the court.
-
Yeah, happy for brock

It's going to be a 25+ purple pounding on the puss-birds from East Kansas.

No. We are Sooner beaters at home.
-
Nice win, fellas!
-
oscar is the best thing that's happened to this University in the past 5 years, I always say. Go tope 1/3!! :billdance: (but oscar)
-

stokes has been an anchor around this program's neck since the day he stepped on the court.
I think he has a place for sure, but it's clear he is not the best PG on the team.
-
Kam has been great for us, dorks. We could use the depth. rough ridin' McGuirl is getting minutes now for Christ sakes.
-
Kam plays losing basketball, doesn’t drive, now our guards drive.
-
Kam has been great for us, dorks. We could use the depth. rough ridin' McGuirl is getting minutes now for Christ sakes.
I said he has a place for sure. To me, it's clear Cartier is the better player.
-
Sorry to the oscar haters and losers.

To be clear, I've watched like 3 Cats games this year so my opinion is trash, but Cartier bounced the ball off his feet twice tonight that I counted. Small sample size, but not impressed. And Trae Young will look like a young, skinny Carl Malone in a few years. Dude has some serious thinning going on up top (also my first look at this young phenom, not impressed)
-
Now is the time to fire oscar, grab a mo bamba and make a run at the final four.
-

Ha! I sure will man. On a related note I really need to take her to more KSU sporting events, I think her in person winning percentage must be around 90%.
-

It is hard to argue with that point right now.
Probably should wait a week or two to draw a firm conclusion. Diarra is way better than I thought he would be. But, Brown is playing like the MVP of the league right now, and everybody is hitting shots. Plus, it might be one of those things were opponents will start gameplanning Diarra better going forward. (Like the backup QB who comes in, looks great for two weeks, but then other teams adjust to what he can/can't do.)
Either way, I like the idea of Diarra for another three years.

Phog gems:
This is not a good K-State team; Young is going to feast
K-State could do us a major favor by winning this one. My money is on OU.
K-State. Where men are men, and sheep are nervous.
Go OU. F Statie
A K-State win would have the court storming, Sandstorm and F-KU chants. As much as I like to laugh at them trying to get our attention, I think I'd rather watch that barn half empty by halftime and them losing by 30.
lol. Wrong.
Will the idiot purps sandstorm the court if they somehow pull off the upset or is that an only against KU thing? ????
Weber is, literally, on the court and more visible than any coach I have ever seen. Ever
They'll absolutely rush the court
That prick is always on the court.
Who's this announcing team? In the five minutes I've watched, they're a 100 times better than Fran. Why don't we get these guys?
Called this game from the studios. Were behind all game.
State has gone full on stupid now.
K-st offense out of gas already.. I don't think they can keep up with OU oscar gets a warning. !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, rooting for KSU to beat OU for us, but they are hard to watch.
Apparently hard to watch an offense hit almost everything.
Wow. Thanks for the reminder of how fortunate we are to be able to watch really good basketball players at KU.
Haha!! Halftime Jay Williams and his small dick!!!!
Manhattan is kind of a mid major city
reasoning for announcers not being there
Messy hair , boney face. He kind of looks like a junkie.
Comments on young
If it was Josh Jackson and Fran was doing the game, he'd be asking for it for sure.
On the no foul call on Young
I can't remember any KU freshman getting the kind of star treatment Young gets in the Big XII.
I hate to say it, but Claws would be playing like 15 min plus a game for KU this year. He is a poor man's Perry. There that's the one and only Tater praise this year.
Someone needs to tell these teams it's a good thing to play defense.
We held the #1 offense in the nation to 69
Will ksu storm The court?
I would be surprised if they didn't

Solid player but seriously overrated. Volume shooter that turns it over a lot.
Plus the dude has shot more free throws by himself in big 12 games than the entire KU team has through the first three games. People that want to cry about officiating need to take off their hate glasses and look at the stats.
They didn't storm
Maybe only for us
somewhere KK is fapping madly
Dr J!:
The gals are already lined up in Aggieville! Thanks lil' bro, take it easy on em! (pic of sheep)
It is a sea of fat chicks and 80s hair. Gotta love Manhattan. Woof.

D sucking fest. 12 turnovers and 2 of 10 from 3 point line.
It was his loss not choosing KU.
-
I like how Weber ran the pick and pop play for Wade late in the game. "Yeah, I would have made it."

All of that talk and they about lost to us at home.
-

He has enough male pattern baldness to play for KU.
