Owns Huggs. 75-62 Cats.

Meet Mr. Meatfart. This style of play will suit Stockard. His break out game. Wainwright will be a man.
-
81 West Virginia 66, Junior Claws continues his excellence with 22 points and 8 rebounds.

will fold under wvu’s pressure and lose by 14

Is not 0-2.

Yes, #14 is the most worthless player ever and I'm infuriated that we never try to attack against the press. We just hold it and wait if we're lucky enough to get it inbounds. I'm very angry, tbt.

:frown:

Hopefully will get a signature win. :crossfingers:
-
Hopefully our bigs can all get in foul trouble and force us to go small again

ya 14 is rediculously terrible
i’m shocked that we’re not shooting 55% and out rebounding them, tonight must be a fluke

Saw stevesies stupid face and changed the channel
I saw his stupid smug face walk by me and really set off my poor mood. Also Wade needs to stop being such a chickenshit on offense and try to attack more than twice a half.
Also the small lineup is doing ok

Beats the Big Round Mound of.Stool Sit Down

Saw stevesies stupid face and changed the channel
Seeing ERII's face did the same to me.

Video board looks great but the closed captioning is lol tacky. Do all colleges have to do this or something? LOL

is coach snyder there?
-
My goodness. This game brought to you by Tac glasses and 35 Below socks. ESPNU ad space must be super cheap these days.
-
Very proud and excited for the anti Weberer's calling this loss vs the #6 team in the nation. Grats fellas. Especially clams who once walked on to a Kstate bball team without playing bball only to get kicked off the team 2 weeks later. #Analysis

Wacky starting off the new year by getting personal early :frown:

Have you seen Mocat's work this year?

No

So two wrongs make a right?

Is it fitting that we are being completely dominated by a bench player?

I guess not. He's a very hateful human being in the new year. I'll pray for him.
-
well i just can't figure it out. we're so good, i read it here. and despite not having 3 players have career nights, not shooting lights out, not out rebounding WVU, we still lost. i just don't get it.

See, there it is Wacky. This blog isn’t real life, quit treating it as such.

Just because nobody likes you doesn't mean it isn't real life. I've helped many on this blog as much as they've helped me. Clams is being a douche for no reason, but don't get me wrong, he hates @Trim. @michigancat helped me land my dream job. Total win in my book if you guys decide to PI me off this board.

Is that first sentence supposed to effect me in some way? I guess if you can’t recognize the distinction between what is real and what is not on this blog I can’t help you. I was just telling you to stop getting personal over rough ridin' basketball.
-
1) Not gonna win many times when Kam & Barry combine for 5-23 FG and have 9 TOs. As bad as that is, the Big4 still somehow put up a 47.4 eFG & 17-22 FT.
2) bench guys didnt give us anything on Defense the last 15:30 when we went small. Allen posted up Wainwright and scored easily. Wainwright then didn't block Allen out and he got a OR and putback. Diarra & Patrick fouled 5 times in 5:00 stretch and WV shot 10 FTs from them.
I was in favor of going small after Stockard got 4 (and Maiwen sucking). IMO, The bench just played poor on the Defensive end
3) the 4-17 in the first half and 10-30 for the game on 2pt shooting was as damaging as anything. Everyone not named Dean was 5-22 on the 2pt shots.

FSD you should put together a video of how much refs hate k-state. I’m sure some ISU guys could give you pointers.

I'm going full rusty here, no more Mawein, Sallah, or Stockard. They really don't serve a purpose on this team, it isn't their fault. Those minutes should be given to Diarra, Wainwright, and Patrick.

I think we need 8.
Kam, Barry, Wade, Sneed of course.
Wainright, Diarra.
Patrick I suppose, but I don't see him as much more valuable than the bigs if he can't hit shots.
Mawein and Stockard seem to have "earned" any minutes for true bigs to this point. I didn't even think Stockard was terrible against WVU, besides finishing around the rim. I'll take his 6 boards. I also think Mawein has a couple good games (like 10 and 6) in him in Big 12 play.
-
Mawein was probably the laziest player I've ever seen in a game at that level. It was unbelievable.

I know they are different parts, but I like Patrick more than Diarra. Cartier doesn't bring much more than another ball handler. Patrick is a better shooter and I think he has the athletic ability to rebound decently from a g/f spot we'd need if we went small.

the little i've watched, stockard brings some energy but his shots and touch were bad yesterday. diarra has been worse than i thought. he dribbles around and passes off to a better player. pinning hopes on patrick at this point is mostly just hoping one of these guys who hasn't proven to be terrible due to lack of playing time emerges and becomes serviceable. we are what we are.

I wouldn't classify talk about the 8th player in the rotation as pinning hopes on anything.

I thought Stockard played fine. He needs to finish on offense, but boarded well and wasn't in the way on offense.

Diarra was far more effective than Patrick yesterday (and every other game this season), is far more athletic, and a much better defender, so I disagree with this bizarre assessment.

Allen might be the best scorer in the league not named Trae Young. Huggs needs to play him more.

Uhm, no. They have a better coach, yes, but Carter was the best guard on the floor. West, Miles, and Allen are studs too. Our guys are solid, but there is no basis to say our 5 is better than them.

Realism hurts. Hope I am afraid soon will be dashed. I have often pondered what kind of career would our best players have had with a different coach, especially wade.

I haven't given up hope. My expectation for the first four Big 12 games was 2-2 and we're on track for that. We have weaknesses, but I think this is still oscar's second best team at K-State.

imagine if huggs coached him- nba 2nd round

That is a horrendous take. And is completely unfounded in reality, per usual.
Diarra is shooting 10 pts better from 3 and is obviously more athletic. No reasonable person would actually argue either presents a genuine opportunity to improve rebounding from their position.
Patrick is a good stand in the corner and shoot if you're hot guy. He's a novelty.
Diarra is going to be a substantial amd regular contributor (barring injury) over the next 4 yrs.

Weirdly enough I felt decent about how things went beyond the first 15 minutes. The guys played hard, didn't quit.

Won the second half. Second half road wins are nothing to sneeze at.
