Title: Roos vs. Cats Master Thread
Post by: pissclams on November 14, 2017, 07:18:00 PM
coach oscar weber told stan that the cats weren’t going to run set plays tonight which seemed odd to me regardless of how much that the ROOS press

cats down early 5-4 to the ROOS

we should win this match up I hope

As long he continues to wear sleeves, I am having a hard time taking Wade seriously as a basketball player.

probably just embarrassed about his lack of toned guns
besides, if the compression stuff works so well, why doesn’t he wear a full body compression suit - including head piece?

That would be amazing.  Full wetsuit.  Would help him be craftier.

I just learned this is happening from reading KSO threads about how to work kstateo.tv and rokus.

yes most of our men are wearing leggings
Claws does wear an undershirt as well, definitely a weak gun game

Was anyone else here at Municipal when the Roos spanked Wooly's ass? I thought it was one of those AD meets the coach at the locker room door games.

Decent game. Offense wasn't nearly as good, defense was fine. UMKC isn't very good.

Offense wad pretty bad. Sneed was studly. Mawein got 2 quick fouls, and Mawdo stepped in and didn't miss a beat. I think our forwards can be good. Our guards seem incapable of consistently running the offense and not making multiple absolute brain fart turnovers per game. That needs to change.

This team is still a year away from being anything but a bubble team. Diarra is the only point guard on the roster, and his effort tonight was inconsistent, and that's generous. Until we have someone who can actually direct this offense, we'll be dependent on turnovers to score. I like the new big guys, but doubt they're ready to contribute in Big XII play this year. Color me skeptical on the transfer bigs. They foul a lot, and I don't think their games really translate against better competition. A core of Wade, Stokes, and Brown is shockingly not anything more than what it has been so far. Need experience and talent around those three. Right now I think we have some talent, but no experience. Wake me up when the 18-19 season starts.

36 2nd half FTAs.  How miserable.

1) as said, offense wasn't real solid. With 6:00 left and all the starters on the bench, we were right at 50.0 eFG, 18-25 FT and just 9 TOs.  That's not awful but it's not good or what you want from tonight

2) Like the Rebounding and overall play thru 2 games from Mawien/Sallah

3) Stokes had a game we don't want to see very often this year.  Bad shooting night because he took some dumb shots. And both of his TOs were bad passes because he isn't playing smart.

4) As we should have, we won the rebounding battle.
We had a few bonehead TOs, but our TO% was probably around 15% with 6:00 left.  Not bad vs a team with quickness that likes to pressure

I was at a meeting and only caught the box score and Fan's stats.  I thought getting 18 points from the    small forward stop by Sneed and Wainwright was a good sign .  I imagine the Flush and Swampthing will be the shooting guard rotation.  Fan did Sneed shoot a decent 3 pt %.   Did foul shooting improve?
