He is #60, but he is on the list. Yeah! Good Cat news.

Over rough ridin' rated

I could see a Cartier type career.

No rough ridin' way. McGruder is the only guy we have close to that and he got a 3 year deal (good for him). Wes would have to be a 2 guard and he doesn't shoot well enough. Just saying. Some rando euro will get taken before him. That's how this draft works.
-
The closest anybody on this team will get to the NBA is nosebleed seats

Did Cartier get drafted? I meant dipping in out of the league. Getting 60 day contracts.
-
Gotch ya. No, he didn't. Just busted his tail like McGruder. 5 heart players. :D
-
Not a good enough shooter, not a good enough ball handler. McGruder is a level higher than Wes and he struggled to get in the league.
-
He has NBA size and would be drafted completely on potential and the fact that he would have good coaches developing him and not rough ridin' oscar Weber. He will have a shot at the league.

He'll kill it in Greece. I'd be surprised if ever played a minute in an NBA regular season game.
Although, on the development point, you could be right. He's better than he was 3 years ago, arguably much of that is in spite of oscar. Or, maybe Chester and friends deserve some credit. I'm fairly ignorant to the workings of the coaching staff at that level.

Wes is probably my least favorite Cat of all time after Leon Patton

 imagining Abe's list w/the rank and player name on the left and on the reason on the right, and what Westicles' reason would be directly underneath Leon's.

Maybe I don't remember Cartier in college that well. I remember Huggins being here his senior year and him coming off the bench and being a better player than he was in the previous three. Went undrafted, busted his ass, and got a few shots in the league. Wes could do that, I believe. Or maybe Wes doesn't want to play more basketball and just wants to get a job and be a normal person.

Cartier was one of my buds in school. We hung out with the same group. I remember his career better than most. Him and Hoskins.
Fun Fact: He had a gross sugar momma for a girlfriend. She bought him a lot of stuff. I'm sure they departed once he graduated. He was also a ringer at washers. :eye:
-
Wes will play overseas for his career. He's pretty sucky.
-
I remember working for the University when he came for his official. I was part of the event staff and was down on the floor. I was in awe that some talent was coming.
I love Wes. I hope he finds success NBA or not outside of KSU.
The only fun KSU fact I have is that Colon asked my sister out at a party and she said lol no.

i think he has an nba shot, although probably not immediately out of college. irregardless, he can make six figgas internationally, so it'd be pretty odd if he decided not to continue playing basketball.
-
Wes has half of what it takes to be a prototypical 3&D guy in the NBA. Cartier had the other half and Rodney has both but is about 2 inches shorter than the ideal.
Wes finally started the rework of his shot this summer but my guess is it takes him 2 or 3 years bouncing around the D League and overseas to make the NBA which is about what it took Cartier and Rod to do make it.
Sneed looks like good bet to do what Cartier did, go from a college 3/4 to a NBA 2/3
-
That's why I think he has a chance. Whether or not it happens is another story. He will be fine wherever

Wes has small hands. Can't choke very well.

I want nothing but good things for Wes, and if he can make it to the NBA then good for him.

Wes stuck around. He is a true emaw.

I mean, I know size matters, but LOL at someone picking him that far above Frank Mason...
Also, only 8 international players seems really low

lauri markkanen at #7 overall, i remember his dad pekka played at ku in the late 80's

This is the best season the conference has ever had by any measurable metric.

If you get mad about that you're just looking for a reason to get mad.
-
it's a stupid comment, though. players reflect their coach and overcoming preseason media picks isn't "a lot" despite what oscar has brainwashed his team into thinking.
congrats on climbing that mountain, wes

Westicles = combination of the greek freak and kahwi leonard

He also made a dumb comment about "where's the haters" or something like that after beating the last place team on the road. I like Wes, but he does say/do some silly things on and off the court. I'd love for him to be in the NBA tho!
-
Good luck Wes
-
He's angling to be Oscar's next former player turned asst coach in case the pro player gig doesn't pan out.

Westicles = combination of the greek freak and kahwi leonard (if they are both hallucinating on LSD)
Fixed it for you.

I'll stick with a guy who hasn't peaked. Lol at thinking Mason has more to offer the NBA than wes

As much as I think Wes is not going to make it in the NBA, the idea that Frank Mason is an NBA player is more laughable. He's probably maxed out his talent. And FWIW, I respect Frank Mason, which is something I can say about only a few current and former Kansas Jayhawk players. Richard Scott...one of my favorite Jayhawks if I had to pick.
-
Wes could have a really nice career if he could hit corner 3's. He should be able to defend well.

Frank Mason is a better version of Yogi Farrell, imo...

Frank Mason does not have the quickness and speed of Farrell. The biggest reason I see Mason as marginal at the next level, is that a guy his size has to be super quick to play in the league. I don't think Frank has that, but he is rough ridin' nails when the lights come on, so he's certainly got a shot.
