OMG how embarrassing. Who wants that to be the message your program conveys?

i think oscar does since he can't stop talking about it every time he opens his pie hole
-
Good read.

"We've been there every day," Weber said, pointing out that even in losses to Baylor (77-68) and at Tennessee (70-58), the Wildcats were one big second-half run from coming out on top.
Yes, that's generally how losses work...
-
Kansas State Men's Basketball: "We're kinda hoping we're just barely good enough."
-
And that rough ridin' loser is going to coach here forever :buh-bye:

If true, oscar has hung as many banners as every coach in ksumbb history combined.
-
I think my favorite thing about oscar is when he uses excuses, but says it's not an excuse. I do this at work too (in a jam). It's such a boss move, guys!
"We've played hard, we compete. I've said it all along, we have great kids," Kansas State coach oscar Weber said after Monday night's 74-71 loss to the Jayhawks, a game that was tied with about two minutes to go. "But there's no moral victories. You have to win."
Boss: "Wacky, what's the hold up with this guy? Why haven't we made progress with this guy for weeks?"
"Listen (insert bosses name), I'm not using this as an excuse, but it's hard to move this doctor forward through the process, since we don't have a presence in the Chicago area. They have to drive all the way down to Indy to shadow and we don't want to reimburse them for gas, since they're only part-time". :gocho:

It's too bad that Beems isn't around to see this post.
-
We kept Woolridge for 6 years..
By that metric, Weber just punched his ticket for until he retires. JC will never admit defeat.

Someone should point out to oscar that we actually did have a big second half run against Iowa St., but predictably we failed to come out on top. So, I don't think the lack of second half runs is our problem.
-
He didn't say that big second half run thing did he? I mean every team is a big second half run away from winning every game they play, depending on the size of the big run.
-
If there is one thing that really draws the selection committee's attention, it is just barely losing close games consistently...

What drove him off?

I swear I read this article the year we scape goated Foster. Good to see we have gotten back to the place we were at when oscar and Currie burnt it down.

I don't think he ever fully recovered from this. http://goEMAW.com/archives/index.php?topic=8318.390 (http://goEMAW.com/archives/index.php?topic=8318.390)

I'll go back and read his last posts
-
It was in the KU Football is Hurting thread. I thought I was mean to him at the end. Maybe not

Beems eventually found out you can't change the oppositions mind. He also grew up (we're the same age/person) Not a bad guy, just passionate about his team like I am. Eventually you start ignoring weird trolls that obsess/take over your life. I'm happy for him. Oregon is a beautiful state. Hope he's still happily married.
-
I'll never grow up.

I'll never grow up.
I did. It was awesome. Now I'm just old.

Well whatever guys! I just haven't found myself yet. Also I think Wacky and I are the same age. 85?
-
Yeah, close, 84.

Also, he was a grade-A douchebag.
-
Yeah, but he couldn't help it. Not much for being self aware. He brought a lot of that crap on himself.
-
Maybe a shame yourself, but it took me a while to get "celebrate good times, come on"
-
Yeah, close, 84.
There's still hope!
