I vote Missouri Valley. Oscar is a MVC level coach who recruits players who would do good in MVC. Bis coaches are the same. It is apparent Curdog wants to keep big football donors happy, and really doesn't care about men's basketball.
-
We can't beat our.conference big boys, but we could whip WSU and othe MVC, and make the tourney.
-
Our talent level is fine to be a tournament team. I will give oscar and his staff credit for rebuilding the roster (after they burned it down) to a decent enough level to compete in this league. They just have to find a way to get them to finish/win games, but the last few seasons track record (oscar has won just 13.8% of his Big 12 road games since going 5-4 in year one) make me doubt.

The road game thing is reach, it is not a good stat. The last two season the team wasn't close to winning on the road. They simply weren't close enough to the quality of team that could compete on the road in the big 12. It has nothing to do with road games, heck they lost 5 home games last year.
The league is also different than what is was during Franks tour. ISU went to the sweet 16 had three conference road wins. OU went to the final four and won four conference games. If this team wins 3 road games that is a great success. Can't drop home games in this conference with how hard it is.
-
We should be in the big 12. The best teams go like 13-5 or around there. Someone has to be around to even that out.
OT: you know how every boxer on tv has a gaudy record of like 28-1 or something like that? Where are all the 1-28 boxers? Or are there like millions of boxers that went 1-4 and quit the sport?

While I agree that maybe a slight adjustment should be made for the Big 12 road games from Frank to now, (65% of oscar's road games were vs Top 50, 51% of Frank's) it can't account for the fact that Frank has doubled oscar's road winning percentage.
oscar still needs to win 1/3 of his Big 12 road games this year and he can't lose anymore at home, at least that would be the minimum for me.

the big 8.

I think we are just fine given how I've seen other middling teams in other conferences perform.

You have to be pretty good at boxing to get televised.
-
The next coach will have some talent to work with, if they could bring in a big man and a point guard who could play right away, then they might compete for a top 3 finish next year. oscar isn't a bad coach, he's a mediocre coach, which is way worse.

I only threw in "televised" b/c where else would we see boxers' w-l records. Anyway, I looked up the nearest crap casino's next boxing card, that I gotta think isn't televised:

Here we have journeyman Dashon Johnson in the main event, responsible for a whopping 20 Ls to the boxers we see w/the ridiculous winning percentages. BUT, even Dashon himself has 21 Ws, so whose asses is he whipping?
-
The journeyman with the .500 record probably fights a lot of guys just starting their careers. He's the measuring stick of whether it makes sense to keep fighting or not.
I would bet that in that matchup, the guy who was supposed to fight Pinell (14-2-1) dropped out and Johnson (21-20-3) was found at the last minute to fill in.

So kstatembb is the boxer getting beat by the big 12's Dashon Viakoffmans and better, but without the luxury of being able to quit.
