We'd have to go 12-1 thanks to our conference title game we'd have to play if we want to make the playoff.

yeah, lol. imagine going 12-1 and beating ou in the title game rematch just to face bama in the 1/4 playoff game. in any case, we should be good next year and this year was fun. 10 wins seems plausible. go cats. good night.

I'd take a 12-1 regular season to get into the CFP even if the whole campaign ended with a L. How do you not take the chance?? We don't seem to mind that Kentucky cheated their way to a title over us in MBB, might as well let Bill & Co. give their shot at the Natty even if it ends poorly at the hands of a legit program like Bama or tOSU.

Anything below 11-3 will be a disappointment. Oklahoma is the only team on the schedule I'm worried about.
-
Oh yay, we get to put up with 6 months of insufferable "I'll be disappointed if we don't win 11 games" posts.
-
I think there's a pretty decent chance we'll be playing in the big 12 title game, so that's fun.

Rose and Sugar are semis, Peach is champ - could be worse, no Dallas repeat or boring Fiesta

It would hurt so much to get to the CFP playoffs and lose....so so much.

What would really hurt is Big XII Champs and no CFP.

I'm not sure what you're saying. Peach isn't the Champ game. The champ game is in Atlanta, but there is still a Peach Bowl. If we win 10 or 11 with next year's rotation, there is a very good chance we end up in the Cotton or Fiesta with a shot at the Peach.

just a mere three weeks ago i was ridiculed for saying we couldmake the pepper next year. now i say we do and are in the cfb playoff, eff the haters (trim)
-
Moneyball was a movie based on the little ole poor A's and Billy Beane, a feel good season that resulted in a first round playoff exit.
What I'm saying is, they'll probably make a movie about Snyder and leading up to next seasons Dr. Pepper and first round playoff exit.
-
So I'm not roster smart enough. What red-shirt freshman or recruit, other than the safety who is flirting with TCU, steps up next year? Thompson, yeah, as a clipboard holding, sketti-brained sub stud.
-
man just bask in the win for a few days guys, jeez

It will be a fun year if they can stay healthy.
I think replacing Barnett will be doable if we keep Walker and he pans out. Willis will be so tough to replace, but Walker, Wood, and Ball will do alright.
The one guy that's going to really hurt losing is Moore. He was such an underappreciated part of the defense.
The OL will be fine, but Johnson really, really did well this year. I'm interested to see who steps in at RG. Maybe Beecham moves into that spot, or he slides over to LG and Mitchell moves to RG. But I liked the groove that Frantz and Mitchell were getting into on the left side those last few games.
The trio of Barnes/Silmon/Warmack are going to be a blast to watch. I hope Mike McCoy gets some carries, too. He's a specimen. Truthfully, I'd like to see them move Warmack into more of a DAT role, but I doubt we do that.
Also, with Pringle stepping up and Heath being a more than solid slot receiver, adding Carlos Strickland to go along with Zuber is going to be awesome. Jesse with a healthy shoulder and that group of receivers is going to be really fun to watch.
I'm just excited overall. A quality win over a SEC team in a bowl game really gives these guys a boost going into winter conditioning and Spring Ball.
-
Tanner Wood looked really good at times last night
-
I'm predicting more wins next year than we had this year. :lynchmob:

9-3 with an Alamo or Russell Athletic appearance.

I guess I am so used to subbing the name of the bowl for the actual location and the champ game is at the same location of the Peach. My larger point is the Sugar and Rose are maybe the most exciting destinations (I could maybe make a case for the Orange over the Sugar).

Who is set to replace #52 at LB next year? Whatever it is, Mike Moore had it.
