If your wife insists you not buy her  present, DON'T LISTEN.

If you schooled most of your siblings playing cards at Thanksgiving (which led precariously close to a physical altercation) do you pursue another friendly game at Christmas?   :shy:

We did Cancun last month.  We stopped buying xmas stuff for each other a couple years ago.  We also stopped buying big stuff for birthdays for each other too.  We definitely have gotten to where we prefer experiences rather than stuff.

Somewhat related, Restaurant Week starts on my Bday this year!  I haven't participated before, but the stars seem to have aligned this year!

This is seriously the way to go. It's what Mrs. wacky and I do all the time. We'd rather travel then spend $ on worthless items I don't need. Going out and traveling is what we enjoy.

Wouldn't everyone rather do that?

Mrs. Wacky asked me what I would want if we were doing presents this year. I literally could think of nothing. I kinda want that NES system that's already sold out for the man cave, but that's about it. I don't get over hyped on technology stuff, we just got a new TV, and I have 6 trips already planned for next year. A good dinner out is all I would really want. She buys all my clothes anymore, so i'm good in that department too. Maybe a new car? Just got that too! #blessed

We usually pick out something and say "this is my present" and often buy it up to a month or two in advance. It works.

I collected records from age 15 until about age 24 but have recently started again. So Mrs. CF3 and I are picking out a couple records for each other as a gift for each other. Its v fun. I got her the new Erykah Badu and a Roberta Flack from the 70s.

Yep. Bought myself a FireTV.

However I do buy my wife clothes each year. I'll go tomorrow and find something for her to wear on our next date night.
