KU's rush defense:
#9 in the Big 12 at 5.08 yards per rush and 227 yard per game allowed.
#100 run defense in the S&P+
I'll say 315 yards rushing. Barnes finishes with 165 and Ertz 115.
-
If you or I were calling the plays it would be 400.
I think we are right around 325.
-
i'm already pissed off at charles jones getting the first 8 carries

Senior day though. . .
-
475 yards!
-
We're not going to run it. That's the first thing they would expect.
-
I would say all the projections so far are a little high.

That's what I'm thinking. Dimel and Miller will make this way harder than it should be.
-
Really, as many as we want I'd think. I'll be surprised if Barnes/Jones don't combine for 225 or so.
I'll go with 320.
-
We've run it 2/3 of the time in our last 6 games and had at least 230 yards in 5 of them. OU is the outlier and that's mainly because we got behind. We'll see at least 50 carries.
Also, KU is the fastest paced team in the Big 12, averaging 15 drives per game, so we may end up with more opportunities/plays if they insist on their HUNH offense.
-
Lol, love that fastest pace stat

Its very Ron Prince-ish.
-
4D up-tempo

Lol, love that fastest pace stat
I think it's the biggest reason they suck so much.
-
K-State is going to run successfully for a few plays, then start chuckin' it all over the yard.
Maybe 215 yards on the ground is my guess. It should be a helluva a lot more, but I doubt it will be.

I'm sure there are arguments for both cause and effect

Do you have stats on how many 3 and outs they average per game or how many plays it takes their op to score?

I don't. Their defense has actually been their best unit though (the offense is absolutely dreadful), but they aren't good at defense either. PPP and PPD (below) relate to how many plays it takes for opponents to score a bit.

We get 347 yards on the ground, 181 yards through the air.
-
If its less than 300 I'll be pretty bummed about the moral loss. ...
-
The thing about these predictions is they are predicated on the OC calling what could be effective. That's a pretty big gray area there I would think.
-
315
-
1. The Coach Beaty sock posts a little bit too much, it's beyond the saturation point.
2. I want to play a different game, how many rushers do you think will go over 100? I think three; Jones, Ertz, and Barnes.

I agree with both comments.

Jones 100+, Hubes 85, Silmon 55, Ertz 45, Warmack 35, Barnes 75, Dimel 15, Delton 20 about 430 total

Zuber "scrambled" to recover what he thought might have been a fumble into the endzone.
:dubious:

I think their initial reaction was that it might be a fumble. And I will say, he had 3-4 carries that ended near the endzone or sideline where the ball came rolling out after he was already down, but were split seconds away from being possible fumbles, so I do hope he cleans that up a little bit.
-
yeah, they thought it was a fumble. i wasn't paying attention to how he released the ball.

I can assure you that they now have some drill in practice where the ball has to go to the referee after touchdowns no matter what.

after 7 viewings i'm back to thinking that they were terrified of not handing the ball to the ref.

Agreed, even though all of his scores were TDs, he does let go of the ball quite quickly/doesn't hold onto it through his entire duration of the play that does make one kinda :ohno: every time he does it. I just hope when he score against ku he doesn't "fumble" it and it end up being touchback.

Thanks for those stats _Fan

Whatever Perine got against them that one game +1 yard. :Woohoo:
