Since we haven't covered since the fourth game of the season, I'm excited that we can continue this streak but still win.

Bu is 2-7 ats this year, so something has to give this weekend.

They don't need any inside info: BU got whipped by 40 points in their last game at home.

That said, I'm not optimistic considering how their second string true freshman making his first start shredded us last year, and considering how we can't stop the pass.  But perhaps I'm not optimistic simply because I would really really like us to demolish the rape enablers.

Currie better go the whole damn nine on this one. I want the platform and podium. Snyds announces retirement. We then get a video with a litany of coaches congratulating him like they did in '05. The last coach on the reel is Venzy. He leaves us with a cryptic "See you soon, K-State fans"

The last few years, I have not noticed much of a drop off when Baylor throws in a backup QB.  Their system is about as friendly as it could be to plug and play.  Plus it's at home for Baylor.  Maybe the TCU game was the beginning of a trend, but I just don't buy it.

Yes, but Art Briles is not on that sideline.

Baylor offense rankings the last 5 years: #3, #3, #7, #1, #28.

They are good, but this isn't the same level of offense.

shock linwood didn't even travel to OU because he got in a fight with the WR coach. Terence Williams left the OU game on crutches. I'm guessing linwood is back for our game but if not that leaves them with like one RB on the roster.

I know _FAN touched on it, but their passing game hasn't been nearly as explosive this season. Our last three games with Baylor have all followed the same script. We do everything in our power to negate their running game and have been reasonably effective in doing so (Baylor's averaged 129.6 ypg; 3.6 ypc). We try to QB run game the eff out of them (Sams and Jake combined for 40 carries in '13; Jake had 20 in '14; Hubes with 29 last year). We get burnt over the top on a few big plays but the defense largely keeps us in the game. I would expect this to follow a similar script. Zach Smith is going to look like a watered down Mason Rudolph. Not going to run a whole lot. He'll probably hit on enough deep balls to get them to ~30 points. If we win, it's going to be because our OL took another big step forward, a couple guys top 100 yards, and we TOP the eff out of them. :fingerscrossed:

I spent the summer reading about Baylor and the stuff they were hoping to hide.  My dislike of Baylor has surpassed my dislike of OU, for the moment.  I was pretty mad we (OSU) fumbled away the game to them earlier this year.  Baylor scheduled their way to 6-0 with our help, but reality is catching up with them.  They lack the depth to survive a long grueling season and you guys are better than your record, for the second year in a row.

This is all to say:

K-State - 42
Briles Davidians - 24

Baylor started the year with 67 scholarship players.  The later we get in the year the more that matters.  They are physically and mentally beaten.  Score first and watch them deflate.

we will run the ball every play except for one play in each half when we do the gronk pass deal and billsnyderfamilyfullback takes 1 of those 2 for 70 yards and a score. we smash them and smash them and smash them and smash them until we've killed them to death.

Had a conversation with a big gambler
Of course his name wasn't Hambone.
To protect his identity, we'll call him Abner B. Norman.
Abner thinks that Baylor could destroy Kansas State but worries like most of Las Vegas that the coaching staff has quit and is negatively controlling the teams emotions and holding back potential game breakers because they are out to cripple Baylor.
Abner knows I do not bet any of my favorite teams and specialize in NBA basketball.
However, he knows I pay attention to Baylor football and feels that the fix is in from the coaches after the 4th quarter of Texas.
I told him that more likely than not, Baylor would be ready to beat Kansas State but didn't know if the coaches would game plan or prepare the new quarterback.
Both us of feel that Baylor is about 15.5 better than Kansas State on any given day with focus.
He wants to know, will the team show on Saturday or will he take the 3 points and watch LHC Bill Snyder teach the lab rats a lesson on class?

If Bill goes out on a 3 game win streak, then wins his bowl game I'll be pretty happy for him and his team.
If we win our next 3 games we won't win the bowl game.

I bet we have 35,000 tops in stadium for final home game - maybe not even 30,000. Look around at all the empty seats BOR - they have your handprints all over them.

Unless we hire an amazing coach we won't average 35,000 next year outside UT and OU games.

I bet we have 10,000 less season ticket sales but that will be buried on page 623 of a Pepper Hamilton report and will never be disclosed

I just can't see how KS-Who's defense is going to stay with the Bears' offense. You guys are just too good. The speed on the outside reminds me of the 1978 Camaro I used to drive - SO DAMN FAST!

The Kitties are going to go home with a big L. And like my momma used to say, "if you can't play with the big boys, you better run home and change your britches cause it's got sh*t in there".

I went to Wacko back in 2014. Parked for like 15 bucks and walked 10 minutes to the stadium over a bridge that goes over their lagoon or open sewer line. There werent many tailgates where we parked but we did slam some beers with some Bible Aggies. They were cool. We then proceeded to the stadium where some Biblers prayed (preyed on?) for us. Kinda weird.

On the north side of the new McClane Stadium, George's has a big "party/tailgate" area... That's your best bet for pregame festivities, although it might suck with it being an 11am start.

Yes. But public money often comes in late like this. I'd guess the line was set to -3 to push public money towards Baylor. Hard to know for sure without seeing a books total tickets on each side compared to percent of total money.

Heard Fitz (I know, not a name to be mentioned on this board) talking about the game on the radio in Topeka here today.  A bit less optimistic about the game than Stan-bot was elsewhere.  Fitz noted KSU has the tools to potentially win this game.  But he wasn't about to believe the coaches would call the plays that would put the 'Cats in the best position to win.

In other words, the KSU staff would get out-coached.

What I have been thinking all week.

What has become of the 'Cats when fans are now accepting that LHC Bill Snyder is giving up the coaching edge to some pretty average coaches?  Ouch.

What has become of the 'Cats when fans are now accepting that LHC Bill Snyder is giving up the coaching edge to some pretty average coaches?  Ouch.
have you been paying attention the past few years? he's like 94 years old and only cares about intrinsic values. winning be damned.

Most definitely.  My point was that generally, against some of the more serious dumb@$$e$ that coach in this league, Snyder and staff would limit their stupidity just enough that a fan could at least hope for a win.  Now it has reached the point where that isn't much of an option even for the biggest sunshine pumpers.  That is the change that I see.

He only cares about winning. He doesn't GAF about anything else.

The sharps realized our coaching staff is throwing games this year

Heard Fitz (I know, not a name to be mentioned on this board) talking about the game on the radio in Topeka here today.  A bit less optimistic about the game than Stan-bot was elsewhere.  Fitz noted KSU has the tools to potentially win this game.  But he wasn't about to believe the coaches would call the plays that would put the 'Cats in the best position to win.

In other words, the KSU staff would get out-coached.

since we don't recruit.........that was pretty much the only advantage we have......or had

Shocking. We look like crap vs a team that's supposedly in a tailspin.

I'm surprised we're still in this with the penalties. Too mammy self inflicted wounds.
