Intern the muslims, neuter the gays, reinstate slavery, deport all mexicans, repeal women's right to vote. The paper of record (and the rest of the vitriolic, slanderizing, state run media) must be vindicated.

The most frightening thing of this election was the documented proof that clinton was collaborating with the media throughout, like pravda.

I would probably be fine with trump getting rid of all boundaries to increase competition, but I think the pre existing exemption needs to stay.

I don't think he will touch trade.  It is bad for biz and he will care more for that than for individuals

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump didn't have the hard right very pissed off.  I can see him being very bi-partisan and his infrastructure ideas if implemented may appear to be very FDR'ish.

I honestly don't know about the trade deals. Just seemed like something he might has some brains on.

I change my vote to term limits though!

Deregulation is pretty broad, what kind of deregulation are you looking for?
Title: Re: 45 has a year
Post by: sys on November 10, 2016, 09:39:28 PM
most regulation that i'm personally familiar with and find unnecessary or worse is state or local.  i'm sure i could find some federal regs i don't like if i looked into it, but i'm not going to go to that effort for a messageboard post.

i doubt if you care much about these issues, but just as some stuff that i know off the top of my head - interstate transport of animals restrictions, some provisions of the lacey act and cites, some applications of the migratory bird treaty act.

Consumer Protection Laws largely don't do anything for consumers and merely keep the worst attorneys in the world employed. The regs promulgated under the CAA and CWA are rough ridin' insane.

I like these 3 but I'd switch #3 with term limits.  He won't get tax reform.

eff it, Veteran's Administration reform.

Also, we should tie the amount of money spent on Defense to what is spent on the VA.  Like a percentage or something.  Oh hey you wanna go blow up more crap this year?  Ok you're going to have to fund the VA more this year, too.

Not thrilled he won, but he actually does:

1. Infrastructure spending, which is the most effective thing he could do to get people to work, those jobs in Mexico and China are not coming back in any appreciable fashion.

2. Fix the VA so it "works" will be very great for veterans

3. Wouldn't mind congressional term limits, but like 3 terms for senators, and 3 for reps, but make reps' terms every 4 years instead of 2 so they dint only focus on being reelected and actually try to do stuff in congress, and have them be elected during midterms of presidents. Do that I'd be all signed up for that.
