Title: HCIW . . .

Since it's becoming more and more apparent (if it wasn't already) that all the stuff about Mike Leach was a bunch of trumped up BS by a cry baby kid, a helicopter daddy and a bunch of school officials who didn't want to pay the guy . . . we can officially alleviate all shirt tuck/powerespect negativity towards such a move.

i stated a year or two ago that i would be willing to cut off a digit (finger/toe) if it meant that we could get him and keep him for seven to ten years.

F*ck HCIW, he needs to be HC.

i'd kill a few hobos first.  see if that works.

Drifters seem to be more popular.

Theme for Riverfest this year is pirates.  :runaway:

Maybe we could find and kill a pirate drifter.  Seems like that would really get his attention and let him know we're not rough ridin' around.

Leach strongly reminds me of Huggs.  Substitute a pirate fetish for a serious drinking problem and they're practically twins.

Great comparison. Both could win anywhere.

Don't they do that in Lawrence?

Due to the revenge factor, we'd be undefeated against TT while Leach is coaching.

He was able to get kids to go to Lubbock, I'm sure he could recruit to Manhattan.

Maybe we could find and kill a pirate drifter.  Seems like that would really get his attention and let him know we're not fracking around.

I think it would be better to dress up like a pirate then kill a regular drifter.   Leach would come running if he sees that the Manhattan news is running with a story about pirates spreading fear while based out of Manhattan.

completely on board with this.  after a requisite year off, OB should get the ball rolling on this.

Leach would get at least one rivalry.  Did Tech have rivals, or did the Horns / Aggies pretend like they weren't there?  Tech sure won enough games to be taken seriously, and surely Leach knows that could be the case here.

If he got recruits to Lubbock, he could definitely get them to Manhattan.

I think we should build him a huge pirate houseboat and dock it at Tuttle.  No way he walks away from an incentive like that.  Also, maybe remodel Vanier into with sort of pirate motif.  Maybe point some cannons out of the windows facing the field so he can shoot it at any FPs, TCs, etc who complain about concussion symptoms?

Also, we must make sure the "no fat little girlfriends allowed" signs are hung outside the players locker rooms before he tours the facilities.  This is CRUCIAL.

The Vanier balcony above the NEZ needs a plank.

Tech and aTm have a very weird rivalry. I think there's more hate there than any rivalry in the NCAA.

Yeah. This. I've seen KU and MU fans act more civil towards each other than this group.

If he came to Manhattan he'd finally get the rivalry with Texas he's always dreamed of.

Mike, the CTR is calling your name.

First response on GPC in a thread raising the question about what everyone would think about Leach as the next HC:

I thought we still had a head coach, who has said nothing about retiring in the immediate future.

:surprised:

I really want to believe it, but I can't trust a guy that would consider calling a charge in a pickup game.  :frown:

Rake has been pushing his "Currie will force OB out" for awhile now.  It's a pipe dream.  A beautiful, beautiful pipe dream.

Has anyone told Leach yet that we won't care if he locks some FP white kid in a closet somewhere just for being an FP? I feel like he should know this.

Hell, Leech can lock rough ridin' Tate in a closet if he wants.  No seriously, we should use that as part of negotiations.

If we have to build the man an Abu Gharaib style building of closets for motivating FP's . . . I'm all for it and twice on Sunday.
