Title: Self consciousness
Post by: The Big Train on September 16, 2016, 09:48:43 PM
What creates a higher level of it?  Meditation?  Genetics?  Spiritual enlightenment?

Sometimes I am out and about, or even just in my apartment.  I get the feeling I am in a dream, then realize I have gone 10-30 minutes on what seems like autopilot.

When I 'come to' I usually have some better/deeper understanding of the world around me.  I feel better emotionally, and have processed life events.  I have solved issues that I have been thinking about.  Some for a long time, and some just that day.  I have this kind of thing happen several times a week, and sometimes about every day of the week.

I usually don't remember my dreams, so maybe I am gaining this consciencely* after the fact?  I ponder the universe a LOT, along with everyday things.  Analyzing everything in the world around me fascinates me.  When I am in public I try and act 'normal', yet I perceive and process for hours after the fact.

I work with computers all day long and love it.  Sometimes I think about what if I just studied the brain or did more math stuff.  Then I remember I already do that in my spare time.

Just thought this could be a thread.

When you have a uniquely gifted mind it creates so many elaborate scenarios.  Some you outwardly cast, and some that are reserved for you.

But yes, if you can control it, yes I like it too.

Don't know about the meaning of life, but I've long thought that the key to happiness is using your greatest talents to the best of your ability for the glory of God.

So I consumed several episodes of Ancient Aliens tonight as background noise() while coding tonight.  I know that down the road that will hit me and I will ponder the significance of what I heard.  There was also a show on about the 10 ways we will die.  Now this may sound weird, but it was honestly soothing.  The most soothing part is knowing that whatever I do in this life is mine and mine only.  There is no higher power controlling me and if there was, why would they be?

The human conscience works in many different ways, mine does in a exploranistic(word i made) way.  Why would we ever accept theories and ways that are 10+ years old?  Sure, the ways that have been proven into law(scientific) are fine, but why divulge into rumors?  Expand your mind through your own conscienceness and unravel the mysterious world we live in.

I used to be in this state of mind a lot more, but it was toxic.  There are other ways to get here, and meditation is one of them, yet blogging about it is a challenge.  There are other ways but this is the best way I know right now, and I'm sure if you know about me at all, you can figure out the way.

Great new idea is being able to get to this state without damaging anything in the process.

i used to think a lot as well, but i thought it was to a fault and don't see the point. the mind just never gets satisfied, and makes me have paralysis by analysis :dunno:

when i meditate i do feel how everything is connected as one, and that the the energy connection we have could be the higher power. how i picture it is at the core, if you could xray everything as deep as possible we'd all just be a blob of vibrating energy dots. it's like we're all cells in a human body, the body being the universe. it's a soothing feeling that carries over when i'm not meditating. death is just a change of energy - we never die.

but mostly i meditate for peak alpha performance.

Life is hell.  Life is chaos.  Life is evil.  Man can create nirvana on earth sometimes in his own space, but usually at the expense of others.  What we accomplish in material wealth is vanity, not worth anything to us when dead.  Helping better the lives of others now is the only earthly pursuit with meaning and anidote the forces seeking to destroy us.  My advice put your life in the hands of Jesus, help others, and enjoy and love your family, friends and neighbors.

I recently watched a bunch of stuff on the mind and also a bunch of space stuff.  The space stuff was about black holes.  Apparently there are 100 million of them just in our galaxy.  They move about the galaxy and spin at an incredible rate.

What if one hit the earth?  What happens to us?  We obviously die and civilization is over, but what then?  Does the soul live on?  Does it get sucked into the black hole too, since nothing can escape once past the event horizon?  Does God pull us out of this fate?  What about the souls that have gone 'UP' before the black hole got here?

With recently brain studies how can stimulation recreate a personality?  There was a guy that was in a car wreck and his family didn't even recognize him after it.  They called him Brian 2, because it was so different from the original one.  How do you explain the soul and your conscienceness if it can change because of a physical accident?  Isn't it eternal?  Why would God make it change?  Punishing the misfortunate?  This isn't the Hebrew bible time, this is after Christ.  He isn't supposed to be like that now.

All of this and more get pondered in my head all the time.  This kind of self conscienceness is a step to higher realms and deeper understanding.  If you can't imagine and think outside the box, how can we ever solve complex problems?  Cohering to the norm and the accepted has prevented us from moving on in the past.  Don't prohibit your self conscience from expanding your word.

Also, I didn't think physicists believe in any real possibility of us colliding with a black hole. Our galaxy orbits around a center (supposedly a very large black hole), and the universe in general is all moving apart.

Obviously you know nothing about space and time.  Second, all the planets in our solar system revolve around our sun(which is a star).  Third, we revolve around our super massive black hole, on the outside of our galaxy.

Our galaxy is a part of a philament of many galaxies that create our universe.  Of which we have no idea about a billion different things.

So before you spout your mouth off again, how about you go back to school, or whatever, and learn some rough ridin' cosmology before ever rough ridin' talking about the universe again. You rough ridin' child.

But actual physicists say there are 100 million black holes in just our galaxy.  So just to be certain, don't ever rough ridin' talk about this ever again Catastrophe.

This is totally plausible, in the real of the self conscience subconscious.  Yet the probability of it happening in our reality is slim to none.

Might wanna pump the brakes there, buddy.  I think you're forgetting that the Sun accounts for 99.8% of the mass of the Solar System, and the vast majority of the Sun itself is made of hydrogen.  Also, the Sun (as well as the vast majority of all matter in the universe) is a plasma.

How embarrassing for you.

Self Consciousness anecdote:

Every day I walk past a boat named "Sea Friend V" and I think it's totally hilarious. Most days I even chuckle aloud about it. Sea Friend V

Now, often times a boat named "Sea Friend VII" is parked right next to it and I don't find it amusing in the slightest. Just completely unfunny.

I've been reflecting a lot lately, sometimes I feel like it all comes way too fast.  Almost like it's too fast to process.

That may seem like the same thing, it's not.  Life comes almost too fast, but it's processed in a steadfast way. The overall concept of life is too fast tho, and that's the difference.

Couple of things, mostly perspective about my life recently.

There is a possibility that I met the future Mrs. TBT last weekend.  This brings a few things into play.  The first is that she lives in KC and the current situation with me being in MHK and her there doesn't bode well.  I've done the long distance thing before and it didn't turn out right.  The second thing is that eventually I do probably see myself in KC.  The money is hand over fist more than what I make now for what I do.  I'm not complaining about what I make now, it's a very good job and I could keep it until I retire if I wanted.  In my current field I have some pretty lofty goals, I didn't have that at all in the business world.

I constantly feel, idk how to explain this, but I feel kind of empty inside when there isn't anything going on.  I basically don't have a night off during the summers with all the things going on, but I also feel like maybe MHK is too small for me.  I love MHK with almost all my heart, but idk I just feel like it's too small sometimes.  I have pretty much all of my close friends living here now, after most had been away and they all have pretty much moved back.

Maybe I am bi-polar, idk, I don't feel like it but whenever I have a free day and no structure I feel lost in my own consciousness.  Sometimes I even feel like I have legit gone insane.  THEN I go back to work and have structure and I feel normal again.  It's such a weird sensation, I'm just not sure how to handle it.  This has happened on occasion for some time, but it's exponentially expanded since I have been working full time and I have nothing to do on the weekends.  The mindset has been to just make it through those times, and I have outlets to hang out with friends or do stuff.  The issue is when I get 'no' answers when everyone is busy.

When I was 16 I picked up all my crap and moved 800 miles, after telling about 3 people.  I only told these people because I felt close to them.  I feel like that a lot these days.  I don't think that would solve any of my issues but in theory they do get solved.  I have these thoughts almost every Sunday and then by 9AM Monday morning they are all gone.  This is the kind of shitty consciousness stuff that I deal with on a daily/weekly basis.

I'm not looking for any kind of advice or guidance, I just feel better sharing and feel comfortable sharing under my own name than in the dreaded #1Thread name tonight.
