Are we going to be good this year? Asking for a friend
Who is on our team even? Asking for a different friend
Make it quick too, please, as I am currently bleeding profusely after attempting to make an ice cube sandwich while listening to James Blake's "Limit To Your Love".
Please respond. Please send help.

We will likely go to a bowl if thats what you consider good, beyond that I wouldn't expect much. :dubious:
-
We are going to be terrible
-
our QB situation is what the experts call "shitty"
-
Our defense is going to be a "bright spot." And that's not a good thing.
-

ESPN says that, but I think the defense will find a way to be even worse than the offense.
-
We'll be fine. 7 wins. Probably not a contender this year.
-
our most realistic shot at being "good" this year is if the d-line is "stellar." i think there's about a 20% chance of the d-line being stellar.

Ran the math, these numbers check out.

Knowing nothing about the other teams' outlooks for 2016 and just going off name, 5-7 or 6-6 depending on how many Briles players Baylor loses by 11/19. I'll come back to this in August.
I feel like I've heard Baylor's losing a lot after all and might suck. True?
-
I think the defense will find a way to be even worse than the offense.
Yep

So, what does that mean? Third best stats-wise? Effectiveness? For the D to be "good," it helps if the O is as well (so they aren't on the field all the time, or put in a bad spot). Pretty nervous about this predicto.

Tyler is such a oscar homer he's even qualifying his non-MBB tweets to make them excuse ready.

If this is true we will only win 4 games.
-
We are going to win the national championship.

I've heard there's a real chance of this as well.

We will win something in the range of 4-6.

I don't disagree with that range, but if the offense is better than the defense we won't come close to winning a road game and it'll take a surprise game to beat a B12 team vs someone not named KU. Our offense will not be much better than last year IMO.

Last year, the offense was 49th in points per play. The defense was 98th.

Wow I guess I had no idea that the offense was ranked that high when accounting for amount of plays.
-
Well, 49th isn't all that high. 98th is pretty close to the worst in college football, though.
-
well, i thought we had the worst offense in the nation last year.
-
We will be better than this past years basketball team

 I may have to go back and like this on twitter.

The schedule is good for us this year. Games against good teams are at home, the teams we had little chance to beat are on the road, and ISU is a roadie with a new coach.
I think it's going to look like 2013 where we get a good 7 wins, have moments where we look better than a 7 win team, but get killed by OU or something that reminds everyone we're just really a mid-level Big 12 team this year.
I wouldn't be surprised to see wins against Tech, OSU, and Texas at home. Add KU and ISU, and there are your five.

I wouldn't be surprised by beating Tech, OSU, or Texas. Beating all 3 would be a pleasant surprise, though.

5 wins likely but possibly 6 depending on Baylor.
-
If there's one thing I know it's that LHC Bill Snyder will have these kids ready to play. Whether or not that will translate into wins I don't know. I guess that depends on whether or not the teams we play are ready, which I suspect they will be.
-
We'll be exactly like last year

So our first and second string QB's will get season ending injuries again? :ohno:

8 wins. Will be very optimistic in 2017
-
In my mind, the over under is 5 wins. If we go over that, we exceed my expectations, and likely (barely) meet most people's bare minimum (bowl game). If we go under, it's a failure in every single K-State fan's mind, not just mine.
-
I agree with Trim's projection completely.
-
If we go under 5 wins but Snyder retires and we make a good hire I will absolutely call 2016 a success, but in general not bowling as a P5 school is pretty bad
-
I think we'll get to 6 and go bowling but for god sakes can we get a bowl matchup where we aren't extremely out talented?

That's actually hard to make happen unless we wanna play some
pud non-power 5 school in a bowl game.

actually, the Big 12 has a tie in to the Armed Forces Bowl vs a AAC opponent this year. The game is played at TCU's stadium so that would be weird.
-
8 wins. Dig it, baby!!

if post Briles Baylor != pre Briles Baylor, the price is wrong.
-
Prolly time to merge with the Kansas porn addicts thread...
-
Bend but dont break defense will continue to fail against good teams and let awful teams make every game close. Stopping teams from converting on third downs will remain a mystery to OBs and Hayes, just like their retirement dates.
Offense will be painful to watch, predictable, and coined a 'scrappy' team by media.
6 wins.
