Title: Kobe's Last
Post by: bones129 on April 14, 2016, 01:11:11 AM
Well. 60 points and a win. That was certainly an emphatic way to go out.

Shot 21 threes. That last one at the one minute mark was nails. Pretty amazing way to go out.

Gonna win 'em all! (using Tapatalk)

These "farewell tour" seasons kind of rub me the wrong way.  Didn't care for Jeter's.  Don't care for Kobe's.  Maybe I'm just old-fashioned.

Especially Kobe's though since he basically ran the organization into the ground by signing a max 2 year extension when he was a shell of his former self.

Prices of the merchandise were certainly for the well heeled. The majority of the hats, more than 60 percent of which sold out, cost $72.48 each.

There were eight hats made out of snake and lamb skin that cost $38,024 and eight hats made from cashmere with five diamonds on it that cost $24,008. Ryan said only three went unsold.

By the end of the night, Ryan said all pins, coins and jerseys had been sold out. All snakeskin texture jerseys that retailed for $424 each and a limited edition version of the jersey, with only 248 made, sold for $824 each.

One ticket holder walked into the crowded main team store about an hour before tipoff and purchased 20 of the $824 jerseys, which come in a commemorative box.

Good point.

A lot will be sold by collectors.

Still some crazy numbers.

The no-call on kobe pushing heyward off about 5 feet at the end was pretty lol, but I'm sure utah was good with it as the L along with 3 game w-streaks by washington and chicago got them up to 12th in the lottery.
