We are going to be shitty.
QB: Ertz/Deltonyep shitty
RB: by committee (Jones, Warmack, Silmon, Barnes)
FB: Dimel
WR: Burton
WR: Heath
WR: Rueter/Goolsby/Zuber
Oline: Risner/Johnson/Frantz/Ruth/Allen
TE: Valentine/Small
Like last year, it all depends on QB. Snyder could play with posters from this board on offense as long as he has a good QB.
Defense looks good:
DE: Willis
DE: Wood/Olomua
DT: Geary
DT: Seiwart/Settles/Dishon (weak spot)
LB: Lee
LB: Moore
Nickel: Starks
Corner: Shelley
Corner: Dozier
Safety: Barnette
Safety: Adams
Defensive tackle worries me; it would have been nice to have Hood and the kid whose dad got sick. Also, I have no idea whether Seiwert has recovered from his bowl-game injury.
You guys, we're going to be "pretty good" this year. That defense is going to be stifling. Stifling!
And I'm very confident about our offense. It doesn't take much talent to make that engine run like a Ferrari, and I think we'll have enough in 2016.
Suffice it to say, I'm much more bullish on the '16 cats than I was the '15 cats.
does this little image of Snyder dancing change your mind, 'tuga? You guys, we're going to be "pretty good" this year. That defense is going to be stifling. Stifling!

I think we probably suck.
oh, nothing new there

Isn't oline where we have the most rivals stars per player?
What happened to Hood?

I'm more concerned about Dline than Oline.

I'm not sure we beat ISU or OSU this year either.

Two things I have become certain of in this decade: (1) the ISU game will be closer than it should be, and (2) Cats will win.
Is Delton the next Sams? And I'm not talking about football ability. I'm talking about being the next player I love who will ultimately be ignored and wasted by our coaching staff in favor of some dumb player who I hate.
We'll be better, but like 7-8 wins. If we had this year's schedule set up like last year, we might push 9. all the @ games and @Stanford hurts, and ku as a home game is a waste of a home game. Rather keep that game permanently an away game until they get within a TD of actually beating us.
sclams: consider 8. (!)
7 is the cutoff or else.
We're gettin' 8 wins! 8!Care to eat another hat on that Tech W?

Chances are Delton never sees a meaningful snap at QB while at KSU. That's just the way it is.maybe he should study with Ertz.. study buddies

I don't even have faith they'll play Thompson. I wouldn't at all be surprised if we see Hubener this year and Ertz riding to the huddle on a Segway for a couple of years after that.
I'd love to venture a guess as to what the lineup would look like and how good it would be, but after the last couple of years, especially on the OL, I honestly can't say that I fully understand what this coaching staff is thinking/wanting.
You'd imagine that these JUCO guys they're bringing in (i.e. Pringle, Beecham, etc.) would get a look, but it seems like history shows we'd rather bury a lot of those guys and play walk-ons and grayshirts.
Common sense says you'd have Delton starting at QB, Zuber, Heath, Pringle, Goolsby, and Burton at WR, Matthews and Beecham on the OL, etc. But, honestly, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Hubener start, a OL full of former walk-ons, and Reuter at WR.
Do I think we "could" be better? Yes. Do I think we will? I have no idea. Why? Because this coaching staff seems to care about things other than talent when determining who plays.
This off-season feels exactly like the one going into Prince's last season. There's absolutely nothing to get excited about and even the most optimistic of us know that it's going to be a disaster. The only thing we have to look forward to is the possibility of a coaching change at the end of the season. It sucks that this is how Snyder is going out.
HCIW - Sean? Leavitt?

it only feels that way for debbie downer types, like yourself. realistic studs know we're getting at least 7 wins. that's the magic number, 7.

If I remember correctly, the best player in ksu history was #7. And he started playing for ksu in 1997. And he led the cats to, you guessed it, 7 conference wins in '97 before the cats beat Syracuse in the Fiesta bowl by a score of 35-18, which is, you guessed it, a margin of 17 points. And that season the cats finished #7 in the coaches poll. A great season propelled mainly by a Great Effort by the entire team, which is, you guessed it, goal #7. Magic number indeed.

welp folks- as evidenced in 33's post, science says 7 wins. it looks like the Theory of 7 has been proven once and for all.
My source says Scott Franz will be a starter on the OL. As long as he keeps doing his thingWho's your source, Captain obvious?

we're winning, 8, dudes.HAT!
Prediction for first half of season with Bill as head coach and second half with Sean: 7.Sorry, not gonna happen. LHCBS will not step down until he gets his two hundred.
we'll be okay
i know that our differences make us interesting and life would be boring if we agreed all of the time but when when people say things that contradict dlew12's ksu football analysis or prognostications i find myself hating that person because of how stupid they sound and in fact are. no offense to all of the people who made themselves look like huge dumbasses in this thread.
I don't think anyone knew just how much trouble Briles and co. were in until... Late may? Predictos were made in late March.I had us losing to Baylor, joker
8 wins was a best case scenario coming into the year.so what if we get 9?
