Title: It's Spring!
Post by: Mrs. Gooch on March 22, 2016, 03:38:02 PM
Hey guys, it's spring which is the best time of year because it doesn't get dark at 5pm and the weather is getting nice so you can start doing things outside again.

I'm looking forward to riding my bike (bicycle), going camping, going to some Royals games, and riding my bike (motorcycle). What about you?

I am so ready for spring. I've been cleaning a pool for three months and unable to get in it.

Actually we haven't been camping in several years but we are planning to this year. Not sure where yet.

I'm really looking forward to planning a lot work and improvements for my backyard and around the outside of my house and then not doing any of it.  It's kind of a spring tradition for me.

We have Royals opening day/week and the Masters coming up in the same week. Nothing says "welcome to spring" like that combo.

I'm probably going to crank out quite a few batches of homebrew this spring.

I pulled the maibock that I brewed two Sundays ago out of the cold box for a diacetyl rest last night. I'm going to build up a starter for a german ale yeast tonight, build it a few more times, and then split the pitch between a kolsch and an altbier. They will probably both get brewed this week/ weekend depending on when waks and bunter are available to help.

@TownieCat, are you available this week/ weekend? One of these brews is going into one of your carboys, if you want to help/ hangout/ crush a bunch of beers.

I walked to get my food then walked back to work. There is not a BBQ place within walking distance.
