Really excited for SR version of DJamer with these 3 Frosh. Hope Westicles makes strides in his game Defensively and ball security.

Last 9 gms.... DJamer -- 13.2 pts, 6.5 Reb, 63% FG, 82% (46-56) FT.  This guy was under 50% in early Jan from FT

We're gonna need to find out what Oscar was whining about when the game was over. Prohm was attempting to talk to Oscar but he pulled away and looked like a giant crybaby. Prohm then moved to Lowery and was trying to talk to him and Lowery said "It's okay, it's okay" Oscar embarrassed himself again.

they made that three with like 35 seconds left and he was apologizing for it. that's our new thing. coaches getting mad at their players and apologizing to our coaches because they whipped our ass so hard.

That was best performance by a K-State big since...

I can't remember, certainly the best since Frank left. I know CK had higher scoring games but I'm not sure he was ever that efficient. The Jamar OSU game included a bunch of 3s so I'm not sure it should be in the same category. DJamer did all of his damage from 3 feet in and from the free throw line. His shot chart looks like he's a 7'3" dominant college big.

Yes, this has been discussed.  Win, and oscar is your best bud...dishing out hugs and smiles.  Lose and he pouts like a child.  Currie should talk to him about it.  More embarrassing than anything frank ever did.

He was much more of a perimeter player and was hitting 3s in those games. He oboarded like crazy though.

DJamer is playing his ass off. I wish we could say the same for more of our guys.

Not the Gip game against UT, not as efficient and he didn't rebound. That JO game against Baylor is a good comparo, I remember that game now, he was excellent in that game but it was very frustrating.

we all look pretty silly saying DJamer wouldn't have made that big a difference last season now don't we. egg all over our faces. he would been the glue that held the team together, the do it all hustler that teamed needed to get over the hump. i mean, just look at how the guys are rallying around him during his current great stretch of play.

I thought CK's game against Xavier was pretty fantastic. Not sure if it was "dominant" but he got some huge buckets.

21pts, 8 boards, 4 assists, 5 blocks

His improvement has been really good, no doubt. Wes has had some solid improvement, but not as much as I had hoped.

The two transfers, not so much.

The fact that we have no clear cut 1st or 2nd team all conference players right now is a concern.

i'm still interested in watching kstate lose.  i'm just losing interest in their 3 pt % defense.  i guess it's still a mild outlier.  but 17th doesn't feel that unusual.  and if you fall out of the top 20, what's the point?

I transcribed oscar's post game comments so you guys wouldn't miss any of Coach's analysis. Don't worry, also shared it with GPC so all us fans are on the same page with Coach about what's needed to improve and make a run next year. Go Cats!

"Well Coach Frazier told the guys not to take more than 10 threes we thought that would be really important to take it to them which we started to do but then guys took shots and Wes goes and makes a play he hasn't all year but then we had them at 39-37 and they go on a little run there and we take a shot at halftime we were happy with how we defended and so we started talking about switching and we liked out game plan thought we had a really good game plan no one has ever score 20 on the play hard chart before boy DJamer was great, DJamer got what 22 and scored as high as we've ever had on the play hard and then we got it back to 65-57 but then Justin goes and misses a shot and you know we thought we defended Niang well but then it's like boy he's got 17 and Thomas pops up with a couple three Monte Morris you got to hand it to him he started driving on us and we shut him down pretty good but he doesn't care and he dishes it around a little and we fought."

Bingo. It doesn't really apply to today's game, but not having a go to guy in the last 2 minutes is a major problem. That's the difference between being a tourney team and losing a lot of close games.

Wes improvement was there in non con. In Conf IMO he has been disappointing.  We don't need him to score, but his TOs are pathetic, and his Defense has been...Meh.  I want to see Wes as a Sr be Pullen as a Jr on Defense. He has the stuff. Does he have the drive and desire??

I like our starting 5 next yr... The 3 Frosh but DJamer and Westicles.

We need a 6th and a 7th to contribute.  Hopefully Snead will do this. Who else....need a big to help.

Just cutting our TO% down to 17.5- 18.0% and being better on 3s thus our eFG  closer to 50% are two HUGE factors

Iowa State coach Steve Prohm apologized to K-State for a last-minute jumper from Deonte Burton.

Burton made the shot with 37 seconds remaining, but Prohm wanted him to take a shot-clock violation so he could insert seldom-used reserves into the game.

“I didn’t like it, to be honest,” Weber said. “But it is done and over with.”

This is probably what oscar was trying to say

"Well Coach Frazier told the guys not to take more than 10 threes we thought that would be really important to take it to them which we started to do but then guys took shots and Wes goes and makes a play he hasn't all year but then we had them at 39-37 and they go on a little run there and we take a shot at halftime we were happy with how we defended and so we started talking about switching and we liked out game plan thought we had a really good game plan no one has ever score 20 on the play hard chart before boy DJamer was great, DJamer got what 22 and scored as high as we've ever had on the play hard and then we got it back to 65-57 but then Justin goes and misses a shot and you know we thought we defended Niang well but then it's like boy he goes boop, boop, boop and then he's got 17 and Thomas pops up and goes boop, boop, boop with a couple three Monte Morris you got to hand it to him he started driving on us and we shut him down pretty good but he doesn't care and he dishes it around a little and goes boop, boop, boop we fought."

We don't have guys who can shoot, but also refuse to work the ball inside or drive.

Quite the pickle.

I actually think we did a relatively good job getting into the paint but ISU are pretty crappy defensively
