The shooting and turnovers are so bad. Many/most of the turnovers were unforced, but to be fair, the one thing Ole Miss does well defensively is force them. Shooting, it just is what it is at this point. There is a good chance this will be the worst 3PT shooting team ever at K-State.

Scored 69 despite going 8 and then 6 minutes without a fg :Woot:

Yes, we can look good or above ave on offense, but we continue to have these long stretches of futility.
We had 0 FGs, 6 TOs and 3 pts in that 8:00 stretch (16-3 run)
Then 0 FGs, 3 TOs and 4 pts the final 6:30 of the game (15-4 run)
BB is a game of runs, a game of good and bad play..... But 14 1/2 minutes of action where we have more TOs than Pts is not a good formula for this team.
Nice thing is We were able to play good enough D, force TOs, and win the Rebound battle. And we did shoot the ball well for the first 34 minutes (58% eFG and 16-22 FT)

Wanted to give some props to DJamer. Led us with 14 pts.
He has now made 17 of his last 21 FTs. Now 71% in B12 play.

not seeing the separation you'd expect between the 1st and 6th place conferences. kenpom is going to have to rethink some things.

Updated with stats chart.
Cats are now 28.6% from 3 for the season. Amazing.
-
Budke is the only one who has a rough ridin' clue against the zone
-
FWIW, 3PT% offense is in the bottom 3% of college basketball. #343
3PT% defense is in the top 3%. #7

I don't think I could make more than like 1 out of 6 (15%) unguarded standing at the top of the key shooting hoops at the gym. So these cats are twice as good as me and they have to play with guys guarding them

We don't shoot 3s well. We defend them well
Our bigger issues are this..
1) We TO ball too much. Almost 24% in last 6 games. That's awful. We need to be +2.5-4.0 on TO%
2) We don't DR very well and allow too many 2nd chance pts. Reb is 1 reason we won today.
We have been a very poor shooting team in our B12 losses (like 42% eFG)...which is hard to overcome and get a W

oscar can only X and O so much. He can't shoot it for them too. At some point these guys need to get in the gym and learn how to shoot some deep bombs. #BackToTheBasics

What result should you have expected to be different? ISU and WVU looked like crap but it's no surprise both lost on the road

i posted that somewhat early in the day. wvu had lost and i think baylor was tied and someone else who ended up winning was losing. by the end of the day, the big 12 performed more or less in line with expectations. (dropped .0008 in conference kenpom score).

TCU coming back from down double digits was nice to see.
