is this the last semester schools are allowed to host these aau events on campus?  the manhattan classic was moved to KC and renamed because of this, right?

They can't do it now.  How do they get around it?  It's at Haskell.  It's called the god damn Jayhawk invitational but they play the games at Haskell.  Can you believe that?

Plus Lawrence has two high schools and they use their gyms.

Technically, we could do the same thing with MCC, but then we'd have the little gym at the city office building, Manhattan High, and the middle schools to host with.  Would be pretty terrible.

i can't see how two separate gyms at mhs, one at the city thing on poyntz and one at mhs east would be bad. they're all on the same street less than a mile apart from each other. mix in mcc and you now have five gyms all within five minutes of each other. free state is a twenty minute drive to lhs and closer to thirty to haskell. why is the lawrence set up better?
