Thats a lot better, but still crazy. If we can find a way to knock down some threes and lock down on the 2pt defense we can get into the meat of the league and find that bubble life.

Big big week. Both games are projected as grinders. Win both and a good chance our projected conference record is 8-10, having us firmly on bubble town USA.

Our upperclassmen can't put it together. Stokes can't seem to shoot again. Leaning on Brown and Wade to carry us is not going to work long term. Hurt, Wes, and hopper need to pick it up and be consistent every game. I hope I eat my words. If they can keep the freshman around long enough so they can become the leaders in the future(which history shows is not probably likely), the future looks pretty okay if they can get some help at the center spot.

Bad things...Other than our obvious bad/inconsistent eFG and 3pt shooting, we need to lower our TO% and be better on DR%. Also our Opp have shot 50.0% or better from 2pt in 6 of the 7 games (52.0% or higher in the 5 losses)

That's kinda stunning.

Ksu 7 gms, we are at 1.06 and 1.07
In both teams last 7, Ksu played Baylor, KU played Tcu, and we both faced 6 similar teams

Just shows how poor KU has played, cause our play hasn't been anything to brag about

Its strange to see KU in the middle in efficiency differential. It will also be interesting to see how long WVU's great defense can carry a pretty poor offense.

eFG% offense and defense for the Cats are not good. That's a bad combination if you want to win any games.

Post by: Powercat Posse on February 11, 2016, 10:05:11 PM: 1) Only 1 of our losses were we 33.3% (we shot 5-10) or above on 3pt. And that game we only took 16% of our shots from 3pt. Plus in that game we also shot a worst 38.9% on 2pt ( shot 46.0% or better on 2pt in 6 of the 8 losses)

2) Last 8 B12 games, we have a TO% of 24.2. We also turned ball over 1/4 of Poss vs Ole Miss.
In last 9 games overall, we have had a higher TO% than our Opp.

3) Our OR% is about the same in our Losses as in our wins.
Our FTR is a respectable 37.9 and we have shot 70% on FTs in the 8 losses

4) Obviously eFG has been the huge difference in the wins vs the losses. We have been under 48.0 in every loss. 66,65, and 59% in the wins

Shocking that passing the ball back and forth between Edwards and Westicles with no movement doesn't open up better shots.
