I'll go with the classic that sold over 100 million albums world wide.
-

Probz something from Phil Spector

'Oh Holy Night' without a doubt. It's so dramatic. I don't have a specific version in mind.

So glad you asked Tobias, I'd have to say it's 'Oh Holy Night' without a doubt. It's so dramatic. I don't have a specific version in mind.

OH MAN! You should see what I just posted in a different thread!
I really like Bing's "White Christmas" or Jimmy Durante's "Frosty the Snowman".
You can't go wrong with 'Oh Holy Night'.
Those are on my heavy list. (if I had a heavy list)

Linus and Lucy
Mele Kalikimaka
Carol of the Bells

Hard Candy Christmas-Dolly
followed closely by all I want for Christmas by my girl MC
-
I'm not sure the particular rendition of O Holy Night matters. It's just the best song, period.
Is there a different thread for worst song? I rough ridin' loathe that Paul McCartney song that seems to always be in the "hot" rotation on the radio every year. The music, the lyrics, it's just complete garbage.
-
"Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" and it's not even close.
-
Obscure here, but my favorite to listen to is the Mannheim-Steamroller rendition of "The Holly and the Ivy." A quiet and dimly-lit room and this song can bring to me a rush of emotion. Again, obscure, but very moving to me.
-
I just realized the other day that my all time fav "let it snow" actually has nothing to do with christmas.
-
I always enjoyed Christmas All Over Again by Tom Petty

Is it that one song that's all trippy where he says "Simply havin' awonderful Christmastime"? Because I hadnever heard that before but have heard it four times this season.
FYI hands down the worst is Little Drummer Boy. Holy woof.
-
blue christmas by elvis? probably not but it's pretty good
-
I heard this last year, and listened to it several times last year and this. Listen to it. Try and NOT tap your foot or bob your head. Can't be done.

I really like old school Sinatra/Bing Christmas songs. Probably my favorite song though is Joy to the World.
-
fitz and the lemon party "oh holy night"
-
Not GOAT but pretty damn good is Purple Snowflakes by Marvin Gaye! :D
Christmas Tree by Lady Gaga
-
Also, that Paul McCartney song is so bad it almost cancels out every awesome thing he did in The Beatles.
-
I heard Up on the Rooftop by George Strait on the radio at lunchtime.
-
They all suck. Hate Christmas music.

That's the one.

I know, right? It's just so awful. It's kind of like the Star Wars Christmas Special of Christmas songs, except it's not even kinda good in a funny/ironic/terrible way.
-
Tobias FATLP hasn't covered that one yet but I'll pitch it at the next band mtg if you give me a katz sports spin on it
-
Simp-ly hav-ing a wonderful Venables time

Happy X-mas war is over is pretty great. Even with Yoko screeching in the background.
