Road win. Enough said. Don't care if Georgia is great or not (they aren't).

perfect example of how bipolar the results of games can be. i would have melted down pretty hart if we had loss, but feel pretty damn good about the win.
-
Ga played really well the first half. We could have been better but give them some credit
Cats did a lot of good things 2nd half. Got almost half of our missed shots, only 3 TOs in 32 poss, and a great 1.27 PPP.
Love the Deaner

Close games are always like that. I mean, look at FB vs ISU as the prime example.
-
Our defense was terrible in the first half and we had a bunch of empty possessions on offense. If we're going to beat good teams we can't have extended periods of bad defense. We aren't offensively skilled enough to overcome it.
-
Road wins are always welcome.
-
Win or lose, I enjoy watching this team.
Wade, stokes, and Brown are damn good freshman. Weber has, again, found some legit talent. Hope this group sticks together.

Maybe oscar is pretending that Lowry, Brooks, and Frazier recruited this team and he's coaching another coach's players.

I really appreciate Claws.
Our non-Claws bigs are AWFUL. DJamer looks like he's broken.
If Wes Westicles can put together a consistent game we could be really good. I want to believe when he has a stretch of possessions like when he had the drive for the lay-in, missed dunk for free throws and posted up his man and got an easy bucket.
Edwards shooting was nice but he needs to finish with authority and get to the line. I fully believed that he was going to lose the game on a goaltend.
I wish Kam would get the fouling under control because we need him playing 30 minutes a game.
We will need The Flush to be a scorer off the bench with this offense.
This win was very encouraging in that our next stretch:

I would love to watch a game when our starters don't get two early fouls and have to sit for most of the first half. We can be good if we avoid that.
I'm developing a man crush on Kamau. He has his freshman moments, but he shows a lot of huevos on the floor.

Dumb fouls need to be cleaned up, for sure. But I wouldn't want to lessen the overall agressiveness. The commentators spent quite a bit of time lolling at how bad the officiating was. The crap they were calling on our bigs was rediculous compared to what was going on on the other end. #32 was wrecking people all game (and traveling). They simply cannot award a foul every time the ball handler runs into somebody. It's idiotic
Hurt was really bad last night, couldn't catch a pass. Hopefully his hand is just bothering him still, because he's been better this year.
-
Probably should be said how important it is for a team with this many newcomers to go out and get a road win against a p5 team who was in the torn-a-ment last year. I was not expecting that from this team, this early.
-
So WTF was Edwards doing on the last shot by GA? I get defending the GA player at the rim, but JC, he almost goal tended.
And Smoller's call on the radio when Wade hit the gamer winner =
-
saw the edwards play this mrng and that was very nearly a pervis pasco moment
-
Westicles almost pulled off one of these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMaAfbZBYow last night, but couldn't quite put it down.
-
Wes totally deserves a lot of credit for diving and setting up Wade for the game winner, too.
-
I got nervous when they were debating the last play at the basket.
-
Ga had 29 pts first 13:00 of game (led 29-20)
We held them to 37 pts on 44 poss the rest of the way.

Yes. The problem is no one should respect his shot so teams in conference will start sagging off of him to prevent the drive. But if he can get a post up game and guys know where to cut and he can pass of that, then we could be in business.
-
ksu looked like a team that has the stuff to beat teams like TT and TCU (possibly OSU?) on the road.
-
It was a road win ad the first true road game for a team starting two freshmen and with a lot of new players. So that's good no matter the name on the other jersey.
And a better PPP in the second half in contrast to last year when that rarely happened and usually went to crap.
-
During the game the announcers said how long it had been since KSU got a nonconference road win. I remember being surprised at how long ago it was, so this is no small feat with a young team.

We hardly ever play ooc road games, so it really isn't that crazy. I mean there had only been two losses (Tennessee and LBSU) since the last ooc road win (angel at gwu).

South Carolina State is our only game where we were worse in the 2nd half than the 1st offensively.
Season Stats so far:

if we go down to college station and beat aggie we might have ourselves a tourney team
-
How far can Wade and Stokes take this team? Right now they look like a 20-22 wins team and a possible 10-12 tourney seed. But I have no idea how good the Big 12 is.

20-22 wins would be on the 8-9 seed line with this years Big 12, imo.

Should have gone with "Wader, check please." May never have another opportunity this good.

That's too easy and recent, but it will probably be used at some point.
