Every bowl eligible Pac 12 team would beat the crap out of us. I'm going to guess its going to be either I of A or ASU. We could hope for Arizona with an interim coach, I guess.

We would have to hope our offense can keep us in a shootout with Cal or Arizona, but Washington would be perfect if they can upset WSU (they were in the Cactus Bowl last year so no way they go)

Agreed... It'd most likely be the loser of the Cal vs ASU pillow fight.  We need the extra bowl practices though, don't we?

Another month of first team snaps for a guy not going to be our QB ever again, but whatever.

Eye on the ball, guys. This would give us the most ever appearances in the Copper/Insight/BWW/Cactus Bowl. Clear #1, no ties.  :ksu:

I want to play in a bowl game because I enjoy watching my Cats play in them and I really don't care if its lower tier.

And if its Bill's last season, I especially want to see us play in one.

We have quite a few players returning other than Hubes. Maybe with the extra reps our receivers can learn to catch for Delton, or Lee can get his act together, or Geary can round out his frame a little more.

This is false, Bazooka Joe is our only returning player.

How great would it be to have a Copper Bowl, Insight Bowl, BWW Bowl, and Cactus Bowl t-shirt?

In some way, I'd like for this to be Bill's last game because Copper to Cactus would be a full circle sort of thing.

It's weird they moved the game to Chase Field this year. First time we played there it was Bank One Ballpark.

Nevermind, just remembered ASU is doing renovations and bowl game would push their timeline a month

I mean, yeah. I would definitely get a Motel 6 Bowl shirt and I've never had any bowl game shirt. I don't even wear K-State shirts. I'd also consider paying for a Motel 6 Bowl shirt, but honestly I'd know deep down that I wouldn't have to pay because my mom would love to get me one for x-mas.

Ewwwwww.  :Yuck:

I once was forced to stay in a Motel 6 when I was driving across the country and I had to stay in Indianapolis on the weekend of the Indy 500 but that Motel 6 was dece because it was an old Holiday Inn. Other than that one the other half dozen or so times I stayed in a Motel 6 it was awful.

ESPN has us there too. Hemmy, it's very possible that some of these bowls are forced to take 5-7 teams this year. I know, sounds cheap and dirty, but whatever. Even if we're "not bowl eligible", we still might be.

I assure you that the Motel 6 Bowl is not above being cheap and dirty.

This was before last week's games so the records need updated, but here is the most recent APR scores of teams with <6 wins:

985 -- Utah State (5-5), Nebraska (5-6)

983 -- Vanderbilt (4-6)

980 -- Boston College (3-7), Rutgers (3-7)

978 -- Georgia Tech (3-7)

977 -- Virginia Tech (5-5), Indiana (4-6), Washington (4-6)

976 -- Missouri (5-5), Kansas State (3-6)

UPDATE!

APRSchoolOVERALL
985University of Nebraska, Lincoln05-07
983Vanderbilt University04-08 out
980Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick04-07 out
977Indiana University, Bloomington06-06 in
977Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University05-07
977University of Washington06-06 in
976Kansas State University05-06
976University of Missouri, Columbia05-07
So, by my count there are 60 teams with at least 6 wins and 3 more teams (us included) with 5 wins and 1 game left

So if we lose and those other 2 teams win (Georgia St. and So. Alabama, so if they lose they have lower APR than us, so only winning is important in the calculations) there will be 62 teams bowl eligible.

counting the former BCS/playoff games (not the natty) there are 5 bowls at the top and 34 regular bowl games this year = 39 bowl games = 78 slots.

So. in the worst case scenario we are in slot #65.

In a world where 78 teams go bowling, allow me to be the first, ladies and gents, to announce your 2015 bowl eligible wildcats!   Yay good grades!!!
