Anybody know someone who Hoards? Pretty fascinating stuff. Can't say I like better than the Meth Head who's about to get an intervention but it's growing on me..
-
My buddy's mom is apparently a hoarder. Not sure to what extent though.
-
would be even better if they put that hip, bouncy MTV Cribs-type production and tuneage to that show
-
i hoard.
-
I whore..
-
Seen the show. WTF is wrong with these people?

They hoard stuff.

I'm a "functional" hoarder that forces myself to purge anything I haven't used in the last year (this is an extremely painful yet cathartic experience for me).

I am the opposite of a hoarder

Most of the shows I've seen the people actually do hoard stuff. Clothes are boring. I like the freaks that buy the 80 cans of soup or 50 boxes of brown rice. Saw one episode where the guy had 3 DVR's along with several receiver's and a couple of DVD players. That's the kind of hoarding I'm talking about. :pbj: :pbj: (ftp://:pbj: :pbj:)
It's the shows I've seen where people are just slobs that piss me off. I mean it's just trash all over the place. That isn't hoarding, it's just being a rough ridin' slob. They really give hoarders a bad name imo. Give these people their own show and call it, "I'm a rough ridin' pig and enjoy living in a cesspool'. I'm guessing sys' condition is in this category. :dunno: (ftp://:dunno:)

Me, too. I hate most physical objects and love to throw them away.

lol yeah but is it like an obsessive compulsive thing?
-
I hoard boxes to computer parts that I buy, because I fear I will someday need them.
-

yeah, i think it's the same thing.

From the shows I've seen, these people already had the seed, but then something somewhat traumatic happened and they keep buying crap and never throw anything away to fill the deep hole within their heart. :frown:

imagine how tight and withered the hearts are of the people who frantically throw stuff away in a pathetic attempt to clear some space.

And then proudly celebrating it in an unrelated thread. Congrats, sickos. Get some help.

My favorite episode was when the lady had like 40 dead cats buried in her crap that she didn't know about. She also had about 20-30 alive ones.
-
I hoard cardboard boxes. All shapes and sizes. Just usually none that had food in them at one time.
-
speaking of the show, I hate it. They don't really help those people. They're just making a stupid tv show.

Thanks for your input. :jerk: (ftp://:jerk:) Pretty sure you don't really care if they get the necessary help or not. (ftp://:rolleyes:) 96.3% of all the tv shows out there are stupid. :jerk:  :jerk: (ftp://:jerk:  :jerk:) Wish that one Corey didn't die because I miss the 'Two Corey's'. Definitely wasn't a dumb show.. (ftp://:love:)

The difference between hoarders and most shows is this one tries to claim it helps people. I have no problem with shows that don't claim to help people and don't.

I hoard boxes to computer parts that I buy, because I fear I will someday need them.
I also do this with pretty much anything I spent more than 50 dollars on. Why do I need the box for the digital camera I bought in 2003? I just do. I don't care if I don't even have said camera anymore.

I hope you retards realize that by the time you hoard it it's already obsolete and useless to you

Pretty much just throw out stuff I don't need and keep stuff I need. Never knew so many people rejected this formula.

You never know when you might need to RMA your computer monitor, so it is a good idea to keep it because it would be a real pain to find a box that you could safely pack and ship it in.

It seems like that fits nicely into the "keep stuff you need" part of the formula.
