What an amazing thing. I just remembered it and was like, Wow! That thing happened.
-
stuff like this screams big time program
-
That is almost impossible for me to forget. Every time I watch him play in the league I think of that. It defined him to me, and I grin about it often.
-
Will something that amaze ever happen again at ksu? Man, I just don't know. The very def of WGAF.

My God, they were infuriated by everything we did back then.

Boscoes Boys podcast today was with Henry Bill Walker(!) all the way from Japan.
It was amazing interview and would recommend listening to the full hour but I broke down absolute must listen segments of the show below. Listening to him talk brought back quite the wave of memories and emotions around the rebirth of KSU hoops.
1) 10:25-15:00 Henry talks GRCOAT(we were in on kevin love?!) and being historically underrated by KSU fans.
2) 21:15-25:30 Henry talks tearing his ACL @ A & M , the NCAA snubbing a 20 win cats team in 07 and the background behind the legendary Bill Walker popcorn GIF.
3) 34:00 –36:00 Henry drops an amazing story about Jacob Pullen and bb gun hijinks that would make the morris twins blush.
4) 54:19 – 61:00 Henry talks about the infamous pissing into a towel incident against Oregon and follows up with a gold nugget of a story about Serge and Huggins in practice(Henry’s imitation of Serge’s accent is Oscar worthy #acting), finishes with a good story about big lou and a knock down drag out Frank practice.

Does he think they were greater than the greatest recruiting class of all time???
-
Henry will always be top 5. Actually the rest of the top 5 will also always be.

Thanks for asking that question Chum1! I should have clarified he talked about himself as a player being underrated historically after he talked about the GRCOAT.

I’ve never listened to Bosco’s Boys, but I’ll listen to this!
-
Awesome.

On twitter there was one of those "You have $15, pick your team" things that listed Henry as a $3 player. (Mike, Jake, and Barry were the $5 guys). He wasn't amused.

I need a transcription of just Henry's words.

IIRC someone here (sd) was at a Catbacker event where someone was telling Frank Henry shouldn't go to the league and Frank told them to eff off you don't know what you're talking about
-
My memory is that Kevin Love was maybe recruited more by Walker and Beasley than in a more traditional way.

He mentioned in the podcast that him tearing his ACL accelerated the timeline for him to jump to NBA. He said he loved playing for frank so much he still almost stayed for his sophomore year.

Henry's time here was pretty weird but I loved it so much. Top 5 talented cat.

Pretty sure he did stay for his soph year, unless he was given a med redshirt for his first year.

That’s right, I suppose I should have said second full season.

when we got the new cat scratch jerseys, beasley was the only one available for sale. i had a walker jersey "custom" made because he was #myguy.

He did and was listed as a freshman his second year, I believe he played six years his first season.
I know Scott isn't here anymore but that was the best single episode of any K-State podcast I've ever heard, sorry csourk and dlew.

Correct. It was those two recruiting at their AAU games.
