An article on Fox news Web states the favorite candies in each state for Halloween. Kansas it's twizzlers. I like little candy bars and Carmel popcorn balls. I not a fan of twizzlers like chewing on a sun dried possum.
-
good grief kansas
-
I saw the title and was about to flip out thinking it was going to be candy corns.
Gonna win 'em all!
-
What was NE? Candy corn?
-
I feel like Oklahoma is probably candy corn. So gross.
-
I knew that renocat was too busy whipping ass to copy paste the article, so I found it.
Nebraska - skittles
Oklahoma - m&m's
Candy corn - Oregon/South Carolina/Tennessee/Texas/Wyoming (all the gross places you would assume)
-
What was Missouri? Meth?
Gonna win 'em all!
-
Skittles, holy crap. Nice work NE.
-
Missouri - Hershey's kisses
Woof
-
better than rough ridin' twizzlers, smdh
-
Twizzlers? I'm blaming Brownback.
-
Wow, Oklahoma surprisingly strong in this category. Nebraska expectedly weak
-
I just ate a Kit Kat, Payday and Reese's peanut butter cup (all full size) in rapid succession. I was most pleased with the Kit Kat!
-
'Zona's is Toblerone. I mean, what, was Crème brûlée taken?
-
So proud of our state.

How do people west of club Orleans deal with Halloween? Do you have to drive your tractors from farmhouse to farmhouse?

In St Joe MO a unique candy that you see quite often is the Cherry Mash. This is because the Cherry Mash was first produced in St Joe MO in 1918 by the Chase Candy Company. And it is still produced in St Joe to this day, over 100 years later. Also it's one of my favorites.

what’s the general consensus on york peppermint patties?
i’ve always thought this place was filled with patty heads like myself but thought i’d query everyone here for a little more transparency on the topic.
-
Known minty here, but did anyone else notice a sharp drop in York quality a few years ago? Maybe it's just nostalgia for this old timer but it seems like there ain't nothing that escapes this trend.
-
maybe you got a bad bag? of drugs?
i’m eating a york right now and I can’t sense any discernible difference between this one and the pre-covid patties. i’d love to see keith morrison dig into this further.

I would hazard a guess that 90% of my Yorks the past decade have been supplied via casa del 'clams
-
i guess that ups the ante a little bit, doesn’t it

Not a big fan of new York?

I haven't had a YPP in years. I need to go get one.
-
i bought several holiday bags (3) at Hy-Vee the day after christmas at a massive discount. these things taste as fresh and delicious as the day they left the patty press.
-
More of a Junior Mint Cat, but I do indulge in the YPP.
