Not so fast. While some coffee cups have handles, I have many such cups without handles. Drinks sold at KSU games in cups, including coffee, have no handles. Starbuck's sells takeout coffee in cups without handles. Etc.

i have a bowl at my desk at work, in it there is some loose change, a couple of goodcents footlong cards, a christmas card from a few years ago, assorted miscellany. no food though, i wonder, is my bowl a bag?
