Title: Duke Shelley
Post by: TheTruth on October 11, 2015, 08:19:45 AM
Seems like they didn't throw his way last night, which I'm hoping is a good sign, couldn't tell on tv.

But what happens moving forward? If Burns and McDaniel are healthy, then what?

Played well. Yet another great coaching decision to not play Duke in Stillwater

He played well but he was matched against their fifth best receiver. Doctson is the only receiver they have left. All the other guys are injured.  We'll find out if he can play next week.

Why throw at Shelley when Mack is on Doctson?

Why throw at Shelley when Mack is on Doctson?

They're going to throw at Doctson no matter who is on him or how many.  He's all they have at WR and he might be the best in the nation.

Worth bringing up, I can only remember one or two passes in Shelley's direction.. Also, he seems to recover remarkably well and has another level of speed our other corners don't. I think he is going to be the real deal.

He looked like Morgan Burns did as a freshman. Burns could always cover, still can. We'll see if Duke actually knows that you have to get your hands up and swat the ball away when you're playing D1 receivers, Burns still doesn't get that.

I guess I didn't know that Mike Warren redshirted because I looked for his name on this list a couple of times.

Duke is awesome.

I told a friend the other day that I thought he had a chance to be as good as Newman.  He thought that was a stretch, but with him being a true freshman I think it's possible.

Duke Shelley could be an integral piece of keeping THE streak alive.

Of course it's possible. Everyone has the opportunity to be the greatest, so I don't see why not?

I'm not sure the streak makes it to Duke

Does Britz (sp?) have a shot at being drafted late?

Jordan Willis may get a look next year (2017 draft), which one the one I'm concerned about.

Gronk would be a lock to be drafted for 2017 barring injury
