Needs to be fired for someone with brains and balls. Against a game of evidence to the contrary this dumbass (and I'm not sorry to say I don't know his name) decides this time on fourth and long with the game on the line our d-backs will make a stop.
-
[redacted]!
-
Whether Tom Hayes deserves to be fired or not, it will never happen. Bill won't fire anybody.
-
I would've liked to see us blitz, but pretty sure blame is equally spread between offense and defense in this one
-
it seems the bend but dont break defense, which allows moving the ball and focuses on making stops inside the 20, is not the optimal strategy when trying to prevent a field goal
-
A lot of you don't pay attention or know what you are watching. We blitzed a lot and got beat in man defense. Do you think Burns was in zone all those times? My goodness.
-
Shut up fan_
-
It's much like the NDSU game. If you gamble and get beat, you leave more time on the clock to score.
-
Shut up fan_
Okay.

quoting angry fan for posterity. a rare bird, this
-
Mainly upset we never tried to jump the hitches and outs they threw. They went to those all day. And our lack of pressure when we blitzed and just rushed four was a huge issue

Yep. Blitzing with Burns in man coverage was the problem. He just couldn't make a play on the ball. He had a great view of the final touchdown drive.
-
I concede _fan is probably right. I don't see as much as he does. But I'll bet he was yelling (thinking) "bring 'em" on fourth-and-long.
-
the 3rd and forever play we gave up right before half was way worse in retrospect
-
We will beat KU and ISU, that's it. We are in full scale 2004 mode, losing close games because of poor defense and special teams sucking.

Special Teams did block an extra point, which led to them going for 2, which led to our late lead even being a real life thing
-
Defense suffered when the offense could not stay on the field. Looked gassed in the 3rd quarter.
-
The D got 2 huge turnovers. Like, monster huge. We probably should've lost by 10+
-
2011, not 2004
-
Shut up fan_
Okay.
I'm sorry, but you know it was like WE GOTTEM! and then it was :flush:
-
We should continue to position our cornerbacks ten yards away from who they're covering

Our special teams haven't been that bad and also we just won in triple overtime. We lost by two points to a ranked team in a place where we've lost close games the last 17 times we've gone there. This is not 2004.
-
The defense has had two chances this year to make a stop to win the game in regulation, and failed miserably both times.
The definition of weak.
-
lynch mob no longer back guys
-
I legit thought our d would be good this year. The D line is full of studs and lee is a monster. I guess our secondary is just hot garbage.

Without McDaniel and Barnett, of course it is.

When are these dudes coming back?

Yeah, those are two pretty big losses, probably all league caliber players.
-
What is the deal with McDaniel? I must have missed that.

Yeah, we need a thread. :frown:
-
I remember when people said 2013 was basically 2004.

I really been enjoying SB's posts lately. :emawkid:

How do you explain the first half?

Who the hell were those people, I bet they're under 25 years old.

:impatient:
Did he leave the game at some point? I don't remember seeing him with trainers or needing help off, but could have missed it during my pacing
