Some stat whiz hook us all up. I'd be interested in the record during both Snyder tenures, or just that last one, or really whatever kool stat you got.
-
i feel like i heard this last year and it's terrible
-
here we go:
'89: didn't have a bye week
'90: didn't have a bye week
'91: beat KU
'92: lost to Nebraska in Japan
'93: beat KU
'94: beat Rice
'95: beat Akron
'96: lost to Nebraska
'97: beat Bowling Green
'98: beat Colorado
'99: didn't have a bye week
'00: beat Ball St
'01: beat New Mexico St
'02: lost to Colorado
'03: lost to Texas (dr. pepper tho)
'04: lost to Texas A&M
'05: beat North Texas
'09: didn't have a bye week (weird)
'10: lost to Nebraska
'11: beat Kent State, beat Iowa State
'12: beat KU
'13: lost to OSU
'14: beat OU
-
so if we're good, and playing a team that isn't that good, we'll probably win. otherwise, probably a loss.

Crazy
-
Lost once as a favorite, '03 UT, won once as an underdog '14 OU.
-
Scratch that, UT was favorite in '03 even though Chance Mock was still the starter going into that game.
Kstate is 1-6 as an underdog after the bye
-
Wow emawblast, you did a lot of work to not tell the people of goEMAW jackshit.
-
And it turned out 2014 OU wasn't good, confirming KSU as the ultimate measuring stick.

That math doesn't seem to add up unless he's counting week one but not counting bowl games.

We've had 10 bye weeks since '09, not counting bowl games? Seems high
-
Well we have at least two a year since starting round robin play. That is how the Big 12 still plays games during other conferences championship game weeks.
-
So he has a 72% winning percentage after a bye week and roughly 66% for regular games. Looks like our chances went up by 6% fellas! :gocho:
-
he might be counting thursday games? i did not include thursday games.

It's a half bye

We really are the measuring stick of the Big 12.
-

As you shouldn't because one more day of work does not come close to constituting a bye week.

I think the bye is the Saturday before the game, not after. So it's 5 extra days of work.

I think there is some unnecessary confusion here. The fact we have a Thursday game does not make it count as a bye week. However, some of our bye weeks have come before Thursday games.
Once again, every Big 12 team gets two byes now. Some just happen to have their second bye at the very end, but others use both in order to play their final game in Dec. The Big 12 apparently does this in the hopes that one of those games is basically for the Dr. Pepper so it can compete with other actual conference championships.
