Post by: Bqqkie Pimp on September 18, 2015, 10:22:28 PM
Cats are currently #16 in the Massey Ratings with a projected record of 11-2.

Massey's math says we lose a 28-31 heartbreaker to TCU and are a coin flip at 49% vs Baylor.

11-2 would be just fine with me.

If we go 11-2 this year then we're making a Dr. Pepper run next year!

Massey would not endorse the view that your projected record is 10-2 simply because you are favored in 10 games.

That said, I love the site and your zeal.

First off, it was late and I'd had a couple barley pops before posting... so, my math was bad. It actually extrapolates to about 9-3 rather than my tipsy 11-2 last night.  Thus I stand corrected there.

There are actually two columns on the "rankings page" that I linked that are titled "EW" and "EL"... Expected Wins / Expected losses.  Using those numbers, we actually transpose to 8.92-3.08.  Since it's hard to lose .08 of a game, I'll take the liberty of rounding it to 9-3 and feel just fine with that.
