How do u GQ?
I recently acquired a vintage (early 60s) Omega in great condition. They are very nice and can be had for much, much less than new ones and have loads of style. At least imho.

When I worked at the movie theater in HS, I use to take girls to movies all the time for free. :gocho: I'd go sneak out some popcorn and nachos from the back room. #thuglife

You really have a thing for stealing from movie theaters, don't you?

:sdeek: OMG, you're right! We use to run a ticket scam there as well. Whoever was taking the tickets and tearing them, we'd give back a stub already in our hand and keep the full ticket. We'd take the full tickets back at the end of the night for a reimbursement. It was an easy $100 a night and my assistant manager was in on it.
-
To be fair, that was at the Lawrence theater. I was brainwashed by KU students and townies to do so.
-
I worked at the mall arcade and I would give my girlfriend ticket prizes randomly.
She worked at the record store but I never got free cd's :curse:

That's terrible.

Meh. Take it to the Lawrence stuff thread.
-
Teenagers do all sorts of terrible things.
No negative consequences

Balling on a budget is a matter of good character. Embezzlement is not good character and is therefore not balling on a budget.

All you can eat chili on Tuesday nights at Wendys. Baller on a budget.
All you can eat Godfather's Pizza lunch buffet.

So you can just take back your unused ticket at the end of the night and get a refund? If I was the owner of a movie theater and someone tried that I would be like "Too bad you didn't go to the movie you paid for. Now GTFOOMF."
-
Yeah, I don't think the Manager knew about it. It was the assistant that was doing it and I wasn't going to tell, because I was kind of seeing her. :Keke:

i steal from work all the time (and feel great about it). and i'm normally pretty ethical. it's an oddity.
-
I print stuff at work that isn't work related. Is that stealing?

i was counting that as part of my stealing.

that's not stealing. that's a benefit of working somewhere with a printer.

I just printed off a few of my resumes for my interview coming up at 4pm. :gocho:

What other stuff do you steal?

What other stuff do you steal?
bottled water (this is the biggest one), coffee and tea pods, sugar, post it notes, envelopes, paper, printer ink, batteries, compressed air, dog treats, sometimes used construction materials (would prolly be thrown away, but i've stolen them before that was declared), personal equipment (i'd give these back if asked, so maybe not really stealing, just keeping and using work equipment at home, not positive on that one).
i think that's it.

Well done, sys, very well done.

Your company has dog treats that you can just take?

i steal the water from the clients that hire the company i work for. i prolly drink 33-50% of them at work and the rest my wife drinks at home. i steal the coffee, tea and sugar from my company's office and take them to the clients' work area and use them there.

That is not stealing. You are using company provided items while working.

dog treats

they have a dog program that i worked with last year. my stash is almost gone and my dog loves them. it's going to kill me to have to buy those overpriced things on my own dime.
-
do you not have water in your home?
my wife likes bottled water. :dunno:
-

that's how i look at it too, but i think the pods are supposed to just be for drinking in the office. i get a per diem when i work at the client's site. i'm prolly supposed to buy my coffee with that.
-
Does your client have coffee that you are not allowed to drink?
Gonna win 'em all!
-
:frown:
-
Does your client have coffee that you are not allowed to drink?
i'm sure if asked, someone would give me coffee. but there isn't like a big coffee station that all the subcontractors are allowed to use.
-
I had a mechanism back in high school where I'd take girls to a few spots where my friends worked so I got the free hook up. Free putt putt, free coffee, free movie, etc.
It was more to look like you were a smooth guy who knew what he was doing as opposed to saving money.
Bad strategy, though. In retrospect, taking girls to play putt putt is not a smooth move.

Plus, it's California.

So we're just talking about how we steal in this thread?

I made myself track amazon purchases with an alert at $100 a month. I try to keep track of it because come on you guys i don't need that much crap on amazon. I seldom come under it though :Ugh:
