Title: Is fox news too liberal?
Post by: star seed 7 on August 07, 2015, 01:05:00 PM
I've been wanting to start this thread lately, but haven't had a specific example to work with, but last night works pretty well.

As some of you may know, I'm an amateur conservative media enthusiast, and I've detected rumblings the past few months that indicate conservatives are growing unhappy with Fox news because they aren't conservative enough.  There have even been commercials on radio promoing a REAL conservative network that's on directv or something. After the debate last night, this feeling is boiling over and people are basically saying they are boycotting the network because they feel questions were unfair.

What do you guys think, is fox news too liberal?

i dunno, but i agree that the questions were stupid.

i liked it when bush was asked about serving on the board of bloomberg's charity that funded abortions and he gave his who cares about your question this is what i'm going to talk about answer and she tried to say - but what about the question, and he was like - i didn't answer your question because it was Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

Yes. then he ended the question basically saying that he didn't know, as the board pres, that he was approving tens of mills to planned parenthood.  I mean, he basically appealed to the big govt, big rubber stamp, contingent of the pubs, which we all know is a huge group.  The best part was when he said he didn't know because he doesn't go through budgets "line by line".  I can't believe he didn't get killed by someone like Paul for that.

Is this a good thread to talk about weird conflicting beliefs that fox news perpetuates?

I mean, the whole veteran thing.  They support the party of war, but want to do more for veterans.  I mean, if you were really pro vet, wouldn't you be trying to put them out of biz by not putting them in harms way via war?  It's kinda like being a dad in that your job is to put yourself out of biz so that your kid becomes a fully functional, successful, independent entity.

Half the stage last night would have us in syria, back in iraq, and ramping up a cold war(at best) by arming those opposing putin right now.  Pubs really want more vets.  Like a lot more.

Oh also fox had the dnc chair on for 15 minutes to discuss post-debate and people are pretty upset about that

The bush thing or the vet thing?  if the bush thing, I could have actually taken more time and put quotes around part of my post.  He did say "I don't know", "I don't look at the budget line by line", etc.  Just seems like a pretty bad thing to say to a party that wants all budgets trimmed of all unnecessary things and wants our govt to take fiscal responsibility about where money goes and why.   :dunno:

Fwiw I think he said budgets weren't presented by line item to the board, just a lump sum

he served on the board (not chaired, just on the board) of a friend's charity to provide institutional governance, not to direct policy or to approve/disapprove of the individual initiatives that were funded.  he'd have to be some sort of giant bad person to agree to that job then get there and be like - whoa, whoa, whoa, we're not funding all this liberal crap on my watch.

Oh, I thought Kelly included, as part of the questions, that he chaired the board.

I can't imagine hating someone so badly, that you actually listen to them. It's like KU fans with BITB.

that fact that you keep bringing up some ku/bitb comparison proves you have no rough ridin' clue what's going on in this thread or the neocon am radio one

As a cheap bastard elitist, I rely on over the air TV news and the radio free Europe stations, and internet for news.  I do like to go over to my cousin's for hooch and fox news.  Ol' Trump has tangled with the wrong reporter, and then say she was mean because of her period,
Laxative brain strikes again.

There's nothing to get, Tobias. Lib^7 is making fun of 'pubs 24/7 and he thinks he's being clever while doing it.

I think "clever" is relative in this situation.  Meaning libs think he's clever... And that's about it.

The low information crowd just doesn't "get" it

in this case, lib^7 is using the (ksuw popularized) term "low information crowd" as code to call yard dog and wackycat08 stupid and I think that it is incredibly clever and hilarious.
