Title: Breaking down the schedule
Post by: ksufan22 on July 15, 2015, 10:38:58 AM
Sat, Sept 5
vs
South Dakota
-We could struggle a bit in this game but hopefully it is a blowout. W. 1-0

Sat, Sept 12
@
UTSA
- This could be a close game but we pull out the W. 2-0.

Sat, Sept 19
vs
LA Tech
- Another close one but we get the W. 3-0

Sat, Oct 3
@
Oklahoma State
- We haven't won in Stillwater since 1999 but I say this is the year. W. 4-0

Sat, Oct 10
vs
TCU
- I don't see us being able to stay with them unless we lose to okie state and come out firing. L. 4-1.

Sat, Oct 17
vs
Oklahoma
- I like a well prepared Snyder team off a loss to TCU. W. 5-1.

Sat, Oct 24
@
Texas
- Not sure what Texas team will show up but I say we pull out the W. 6-1

Thu, Nov 5
vs
Baylor
- I want to say this is the year we get back at BU but I just don't see it happening. L. 6-2.

Sat, Nov 14
@
Texas Tech
- I don't want to underestimate a road game in Lubbock but W. 7-2.

Sat, Nov 21
vs
Iowa State
W. 8-2.

Sat, Nov 28
@
Kansas
W. 9-2.

Sat, Dec 5
vs
West Virginia
- We could see a pretty good game from WVU but we pull out in the end. W. 10-2.

Don't see us winning this game, unless we lose the one before, which means we'll win this one

I've got a couple questions for you tho… :Secrets:

Did you factor in the wind/rain/sleet/snow variables?  :Carl:

Do you think we will kick more ass in the 11am games or 7pm fox primetime?   :Boxing:

Speaking of, could you breakdown your TV schedule predictions?  :excited:

Every single game we play in twenty-fifteen is on turf, so I'm gonna have to see Clams All-Burner team before really making an accurate predicto like @ksufan22.

Does anyone want to actually talk about the schedule this year or are we just going to make fun of the post? Let's make the board interesting and actually talk about something that is beneficial for all of us. As for the first two games I think they will be close because we will probably have a new quarterback learning the offense which could lead to a situation like 2010 was it when we played eastern Kentucky and barley got by. Then for the UTSA game, it is our first road game and we are usually a little shaky. Let's go back to when we lost to ULL... So, let me ask the question again.. Does anyone want to put forth any information that is useful to the topic?

My sources (D+) indicate that its gonna take one helluva Brian Kavanaugh-esque year from the Hubes to get this cats team to 22's predicto.

If we win 10 games this year, we will have over-achieved.  We should have one of the better defenses in the conference, but without a good running game and playmakers at wide receiver, the offense will have to depend on the arm and legs of the QB.  I just don't see Hubener and Ertz doing much unless there is drastic improvement during the off season.  Even if Delton does not get red shirted, I will be surprised if he can make an immediate impact at this level  That means we have to depend on Banks to come in and immediately make an impact.  I see us winning our first 3 and potentially going 1-4 or worse 0-5 to start conference play then finishing 4-0 and winning our bowl game.  8-5 or 9-4 at best.

Lotta haters here 22.  Lotta people not willing to put their rep on the line, no guts, no glory, no #family, no  :lynchmob:, sounds like some of these clowns won't be ready until they get some Carl Iced by some Willie Crazy Train.

Let's take the tale of the tape and size up some of these oppos and take a long look at the cats schedule and the order we play and how we will do, the wins, the losses we plan on, the unexpected and our overall record too.

-Bob Stoops is not long for this crimson and cream world. W. 4-2.

However the first 9 games go, it will be very comforting we have 3 slam dunks to cleanse the palate and polish the Snyder statue to close things out.

I think we go 12-0 but the three puds at the end hurt or sos and we get jumped TCU style in the final playoff committee vote.

Under no circumstance will a 12-0 B12 team not get one of the 4 play-in spots.  BUT, lol.  We're not winning 12 this year.

8-4 and playing some pud ACC school in the Russell Athletic Bowl with a W going 9-4 will feel alright, especially knowing that next year is going to be pretty studly.
