Where would you go to college?
This is always a good bar debate topic that my friends and I get into.
For the sake of this argument, if you want to be a dual-threat or pocket type QB that is entirely up to you. Offensive systems and coaching styles are also applicable to any school. (ie: Let's say you are an engineering nerd and love Atlanta, GA for whatever reason, but you are a pocket passer so you don't think Georgia Tech is an option. Well it is an option!<<< PUN INTENDED!!!!)
Also, GA Tech has a horrendous stadium. So don't consider them.
So what say all of you?!?
-
Ok neat!
I'll go first.
[signing day presser]
cas4ksu: "I say with great excitement that I will play college football at the University of Southern California!"
[/signing day presser]
Why:
Sweet uniforms.
Great fight song.
Tradition, history, :blah:
Babes
Los Angeles (being in Hollywood helps my all important BRAND)
Always going to have a stud supporting cast to throw to.
Why not?
No earthly reason.
-
Jack Arute: Daniel Steve Sams Dave, where are you going to go to school?
DSSD: Kansas State University circa 1996.
-
Michigan. Jim Harbauh obvs.
-
Colorado University
Stadium imProvements
Program on the soon to be rise
Amazing campus
And other stuff...

If i were a five star player i would go to... Pittsburgh State (D2) Signing Day 1 (Dual threat)
Why?
Winning Tradition
Gus the Gorilla
Easy Curriculum (More time to work on my game)
Signing Day 2
I draw quite the crowd not only because i was a 5 star coming out of high school AND i won a D2 Natty Championship in Pittsburgh. On my signing day, i have a table out in front of me with flat bills on it with six hats on it one for my top pick in the 5 power conferences and one for the lolz.
The hats would be...
ACC- Miami (Rich school history, Restore school to former glory)
Big X- Michigan State (Always have great receivers and Spartan Stadium is cool i guess)
Big XII- Kansas State (Recruiters been hitting me hard cause i'm a top JUCO athlete and i'll be considered "family". Close to home and of course i will get to play for HCBS before he leaves again)
SEC- Arkansas (Rise the team up to the top of the conference and make a bunch of happy hog fans)
Pac 12- Washington (School that is on the rise and i could beat Oregon once a year)
For the LOLZ- KU (just so i can watch the squawks flock to me and then rip their fans hearts out on signing day when i don't pick the beaty bunch)
"Greg picks..."
:ohno:
KANSAS STATE
Why?
Close to home.
To make the KU fans think "You guys remember when we almost had that Greg guy gosh what a stud he would've been then" talk "about winning the orange bowl"
HCBS
Win Conference and get into the CFB Playoff pretty much tell all the haters we don't need a Conference Championship game to make it into the new playoff system.
Well this was fun
:billdance:

You sign with Pitt State then transfer to K-State? :dunno:
Pitt State isn't a junior college.

Want to win a d2 championship then be a d1 championship contender. Would that not be cool?

get out of here eastcat

eastcat is taking his talents to the U.
Me too... If Jimmy Johnson were coach or someone awesome was there instead of the dumb, tie guy.
-
Stanford or Michigan.
Stanford for the education, or Michigan to play for Harbaugh.
I'd be total EMAW as a fan, but I honestly wouldn't want assured reconstructive shoulder surgery.
-
Texas
I'd have to get used to Kansas State always beating us but Austin seems pretty cool.
-
Good lord it's USC.
-
USC! Even tho I hate them.
-
Arizona State maybe. Tempe is the bomb and so is Sun Devil Stadium, imo. Plus I find this video wonderful:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25Xt8QEvurA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25Xt8QEvurA)
I might choose USC too. Being the top dog for USC in LA would be amazing.
-
Florida State. I want to play for a guy named Jimbo and have all those beautiful women Brent Musberger is talking about chase me.
-
the thing about tallahasse that you're forgetting is that it sucks

I took that into consideration. The best beach school is Pepperdine. However, they don't have a football team.
-
Miami isn't even by the beach you guys!
-
Top 5 if I was a 5 star QB
Miami
USC
Stanford
Texas
Florida State
-
Miami isn't even by the beach you guys!
I really don't like their current coach. He'll probably be gone in a year though.

fan support sucks too. If I wanted 20 ppl to come watch me play, I'd go back to 8th grade jv.

Good party school. But your latter choice is definitely the correct one.
-
Assuming that K-State isn't an option I'd choose USC. You're guaranteed to be an NFL draft pick and backup QB for 10 years. Easy money.

Let's operate under the fact that I'm still from Hoisington...my list would definitely include ku and kstate. My bro lives in Colorado but CU sucks so Colorado State would make it because FOCO is awesome.then LSU and Stanford would round out the top five. LSU bleeds football and Death Valley is an awesome venue. Stanford is Stamford... Good fan support plus great education.
In the end it's be a top three of CSU, Stanford, and KSU. Stanford would win.

oregon, cal, ucla

The shitty schools paid me under the table just for visiting fwiw. I'm going to sign with Jimbo Fisher tho.

Ohio State or Oregon if I'm a dual threat.
USC if I'm pro-style.
-
Who would choose to be a pro style qb :Yuck:

Alabama
-
My biggest factors are warm, competitive, good coaching, have good fan support but not delusional, not forget about me with a new guy in 2 years, and not be in Waco or Lubbock.
Final List:
Arizona St
Kansas St
Georgia
Oregon
Cal
TCU
Oklahoma
-
Well since I am a 5 Star, Wouldn't want to hurt my shoulder at KState, Hawaii, sun and fun or FSU - Free crab legs or lobster or whatever it was and they don't care if you break the law.
-
TCU bcuz TCU wins.
-
If I wanted wins, I would have to use 'gets picked to go to the playoff' as my tie breaker. TCU could be my fall back.
-
I'd prob have to go to a second tier school cause I'd have multiple MIP's and at least one wrecked convertible by the time I left HS. So Navarro? Hutch? Not sure.

Consider Kansas State.
-
Top choice is easily Wisconsin. You're pretty much guaranteed phenomenal protection every year by their stud O-line and you have a fantastic backfield. Also, you'll be on the fast track to the NFL if you end up being decent. I hear Madison is pretty great too.
-
Kirk: So Chingon Chingkowski, which hat are you going to put on?
CC: To be honest Kirk, it was a hard decision. I prayed with my family for several nights, consulted with my coaches, and well I have to say that the opportunity to play QB was key factor in my decision. There aren't too many schools out there that would give a 5' 6" kid a chance to lead the offense. So with that in mind, I would like to announce that I will be playing for the great University of Cincinnati. Coach Tuberville has shown me a level of trust that I know I will repay with a National Championship.
-
Prob Stanford. Run a pro style offense so hello NFL, amazing education if that doesn't work out, compete for championships, amazing weather,
great coach, it has just about everything.
Who am i kidding if k-state is at all competitive i'd probably go there. The heart wants what it wants
