It was the second part of the "200" episode, or the "Muhammad" episode or whatever you want to call it. I wasn't able to catch it at 9 pm, so I waited for the 11 pm showing which is when they usually show that night's episode again. Instead, they had a rerun of the Scrotie McBoogerballs episode. I was kinda pissed. So was there anything in the 9 pm episode that would have caused Comedy Central to pussy out and not show it again?
-
im in the same boat, damn dvr didnt record the 9pm showing.....i am recording the one tonight at 9 or 9:30 hoping it's on.
-
The writers backed out I think because of the threats. Muhammed was censored and they bleeped his name every time they said it. They did it excessively to be satirical but still they pussed out this time. And yeah I was wanting to see it again but scrotie mcboogerballs was on instead

looks like the dorkstore opened up early today.

I'm sure Trey and Matt wanted to show it but comedy central didn't want to so they tried to make a joke out of it like you said. The episode was good but the terrorists won in the end. South Park has finally hit the wall on pushing limits and its sad. This will probably be the last season now especially because the network pussed out.

A Statement from Matt and Trey
In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

counter strike, dumbass.

You're a lot more pissy than clamsy today. Earth Day got you down? Or is it all the kids running around the office?
-
That's ridiculous. The last minute of that episode you couldn't make out a single word

Nah, that's how the admins do it. Regular posters (and maybe mods?) can't use the HTML tags, or it will just show up as text. Try quoting one of the youtubes posted by the admins and you'll see what I'm talking about.

so they missed the deadline on tonight's episode due to a power outage, will air next week instead.
(is there a south park thread?)

Holy crap, I was watching South Park as recently as 2010? Mods please merge with Shame Yourself thread.

i remember watching some south park documentary on netflix late one night (don't even watch the show anymore) - IIRC, they routinely cut it down to the wire (like, matters of minutes, hope it finishes upload before broadcast time, etc)... i remember being kinda shocked

I enjoy south park.

yeah, watched the same thing. i had always wondered how the episodes seemed to involve very recent current events. also hadn't realized bill hader was a part of the show. i'm not a loyal, watch-every-episode fan but there's no denying some of the stuff they do is brilliant.
-
South Park is great, imo
-
Such an amazing show, just try to think about any other program... or even beyond television, that you still get excited for 16 years later.
-
oh man, scott tenorman is my favorite episode of all time.
