tcu and baylor both will beat us by as much as they want to so those percentages are way off. but it's awesome that no one else is going to be great and that we are exceptional at beating average teams. 8-4 here we come!

Not trying to be a dick, but that 1.5 O/U is so hard to pick for KU.

Those numbers all look pretty spot on. This feels like a 7-5 team.

If I had to bet on one of those I'd take KU and the over :sdeek:

I'd take the ISU under.

Edit: Nevermind, that's overall record. I was thinking it was Big 12 win total and couldn't for the life of me figure out where ISU was finding 3 wins.

I think the margin for deviation is pretty low.  Defense and ST will be good enough that we probably won't go under six (3 non-con rummies, KU, ISU, plus one more).

I think the difference between 6-6 and 8-4 all happens in this group: @Tech, @Texas, WVU.  Win all three?  8-4.  Lose all three?  5-7.  But I just don't think we're losing all three.  I think we win two.  7-5.

I'm marking TCU, Baylor, OU, and @OSU as losses.  However, with three of those being home games...eh, you never know.

Depending on how good OSU is we should go 8-4 or 9-3. If WVU finally gets their crap together we might go 7-5 but I would bet against that.

See, that makes me think we can steal one of those games. So 1-3 vs. TCU, BU, OU and OSU, 2-1 vs. Tex, WVU, Tech, and 2 W's vs. ISU and KU. I feel it's an 8-4 season unless either the offense is epically bad or somehow Banks/Delton go all Cam Newton on everyone.

I am not convinced our offense can score enough to justify more than 5-7 on paper. I think we win ONE out of WVU, Tech, Texas, OU and OSU.  6-6 is the number, boys.

I've got us at 8-4, but I might reevaluate if practice talk indicates that Banks is a stud. The Big 12 just is never as tough as you guys claim it's going to be.

What in the world of dogshit big 12 defenses and the last 20 seasons of LHC Bill Snyder football would lead any rational person to think kstate will have trouble scoring the football????

Further, OSU has been dogshit since Brandon Wiedon graduated and Bill Young split. And that were only good once when those guys were there.

Teams that will blow ass: ku, isu, ttech
Teams that we are considerably better than: wvu, osu
I don't know, probs even: UT, BU, OU
Potential NC contender: TCU

8-4 would mean winning zero close calls, unlikely, but possible. Anything less would be a failure or injury riddled season.

We haven't won in Stillwater since Beasley was our QB. They'll beat us on a play in the last minute like they always do down there.

They were a play away from winning the Big 12 in 2013.

They return a lot from last year and there is no way we are considerably better than them, especially now that their QB concerns are gone with Mason Rudolph.

with both BU and TCU at home they will be a factor in the title race and had a damn good chance to be a darkhorse conference champ if Ty Hill only played like Ray Rice.

1. It's on a Thursday. Did you think it'd be at 11am?

2. Last time we played Baylor at home at 11am it turned out pretty well for us.

Thanks for making known dumbass Stevesie60 look more like a dumbass, brother PP.

Regardless of whether a Saturday or Thursday my point stands though, far better to play da bears at night in front of a drunken mass of farm humpers than at 11am to be fair.

not to mention the almost certainty of temps at or below freezing in what will be Baylor's first game outside the state of Texas

This is an actual good point, I mean they do play at lawrence before this, but this would be their first actual game outside of the state of Texas, and the second of only 3.  Amazing that Baylor only plays 3 games outside of their home state next year. National TV talking point!

I think this team might do just as well as other LHC Bill Snyder teams, where we didn't know who the quarterback would be before the season. Maybe not quite that well.

the one thing that gives me hope we won't have a 04/05 type of season is the majority of the league is in a similar boat.  I would say only TCU, Baylor and OSU like what they have at QB.
