i'm great on interstate and a total hazard everywhere else. it's because i listen to podcasts or books on long drives but during short drives i text/email/reddit/snapchat/twitter/clash/bbs as much as possible.

I've been known to put on make-up while driving. I figure it can't be as bad as texting because at least I'm looking up

On my bike I almost purposely tapped on the window of a lady texting in her car as she passed me in the bike lane. would have slowed me down though.

I don't have time to do all the other things at times when I am not driving. I'm a pretty good multitasker so it's still pretty safe.

When I drive into work at 4:30am there is absolutely no on on the road. There are 5 traffic lights between my house and the interstate and I treat them all like 4 way stop signs.

Its quite the rush to roll up on a red light, make a quick check for other cars, then blast right through it.

Other than that I am a great driver!

There's nothing wrong with that.  Should be legal.

I got a ticket for doing this in Manhattan in the early 90's. About 5 am on a Saturday morning, heading to an out of town rugby game. I figured the cop would just check to see if I was drunk and then laugh and give me a warning, but no! Probably rick's dad or uncle.

Gonna win 'em all!

The other day I saw a guy driving down the road steering with his knee with a huge map unfolded in front of his face, trying to scrutinize it.  I pulled up next to him, took a picture and texted it to my buds.  They all thought it was hilarious.  Very Griswold-esque.

It would have been even more lollerskates if the two of you had immediately crashed into each other and been horribly maimed.  Like you end up with a leg off and a crooked back.  Can you imagine?

Not dangerous at all, in spite of my stance on making an occasional "illegal" left turn.  Never been in an accident.

The people who multitask while driving probably do a fine job of the non driving task but do a piss poor job of driving in a straight line.

I more amazed that both of you are alive and well enough to tell that story.  Cherish this moment, because when you're older you'll realize what a reckless bastard in two tons of sledge hammer you were.

I try to cherish every moment, thanks.  I'm glad I have the picture as a reminder, because I was pretty wasted at the time.

My informal and unscientific polling data gathered while running a couple of errands during lunch today indicate a number closer to 9 out of 10.

I'm actually a fantastic driver. I've avoided multiple accidents because my defense while driving is so lock down you better just call me Matthew Dellavedova. I've also never been in a wreck while a passenger either...lucky you might say.

Exception: When i'm trying to open up some ranch to put in the lid of a McD's chicken nugg box and pouring fries into the side of the box as well, get out of the way because i'm going to be swerving all over the place.
