Title: This Year's Scapegoat
Post by: Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) on April 05, 2015, 09:42:54 PM
Every year the collective group think of gEtard nation spontaneously selects a single player on the Wildcat defense to blame for every single yard our opponents gain on offense.  Likewise, that player's backup becomes a martyr, the most talented player on the team who doesn't play due to an unarticulated conspiracy.

Who will it be this year? Typically this player's position is safety.

Recent honorees:
Schellenberger, Tysyn

My prediction: Will Davis. The narrative is already being set up. Plus, he beat out drastically overrated Dakorey Johnson for PT last year, so the irrational hatred still simmers.

Nate Jackson is my dark horse. Plays safety. Generally has no idea where to go, so he might actually somewhat earn it.

Scapegoats are always on the offensive end. Nobody will ever beat Jake waters. He brought all the butthurt haters out to the club. It use to be Hubert before that because "he was too slow" to break the big one.  :Ugh:

Wrong on Coffman.  Schelly and Davis were hot garbage last year and deserved it.

Schellenberg was absolutely god awful last year, there was like 1 or 2 games total where he had any idea what to do, the way he went out absolutely sucks but he definitely was very bad.

How was that not the truth?

Maybe not his senior year, but with two years with Klein a big time back would have housed it multiple times Hubert got caught.

Lets give him time to develop into the role.  He may not be the right fit.

damnit, I was thinking of the wrong H named LB.

and really the scapegoating for these guys (especially former walkons like Schellenberger and I believe Hrebec) should all go on the coaching staff for the recruiting and player development failures that result in 5-hearts attempting to cover a Baylor WR in the slot.

Hrebec was scapegoat 1.0 in Snyder 2.0
